I expected this place to be like the typical denny's/perkins/sheri's but i was very surprised. I had a the Stuffed cabbage rolls and they were very good. My husband had the taco soup which was great too. They were very nice and helpful. I would go back!

We don't live in the area and were interested in eating something German and decided on Heidi's after reading some very good reviews.

What a total disappointment! This is nothing more than a large restaurant serving very average fare with not much trace of anything Swiss or German apart from the name and the lady servers in costume.

I ordered a German sausage dinner and asked the server what the sausage was. He thought for a bit then said he doesn't know if it has any name or what the meat is. Then he proceeded to say, quote "They're brown and about this big," indicating something maybe an inch in diameter and 4 or 5 inches long.

When it came the only good thing was the hot potato salaad. The sausage was tasteless and fat, the suerkraut was more than sour. My wiffe's dish was equally uninspired.

By the way, the plaace looks great from the outside, has lots of empty tables insside and a good sized parking lot.

I would look for something else. They certainly won't see us in there again.

This is a good place to enjoy a wonderful omelet amongst many other selections. I have also had lunch here and it is good food and great service for an average price.

This is a good, clean, family restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I like the outfits the servers wear. This is a good place to meet after church for brunch.

Heidi's is probably one of my favorite places to eat in Gresham! They have excellent comfort food, reasonable prices (including daily specials) and consistent food & service. They make absolutely the BEST vegetable beef soup! I also highly recommend the potroast dinner. Some might be taken back by the old world German-Swiss decor and not to mention the server's dirndls, but these quirks are what create Heidi's nostalgic charm and identity.

After dinner, don't forget to browse through the gift shop to admire the coo-coo clocks. Oh, and did I mention they have an excellent bakery?

Pros: food, value, comfortable, menu selection, bakery, lounge, fun gift shop

Cons: Some may be put off by the outdated decor (Alpine paintings & cow bells) but I think it's nostalgic

Heidi's has daily specials and a really extensive menu. They have great baked goods too. Nice dessert menu. Their is a bar in back. This is a family restaurant.

The first time we went to Heidi's was in March of 2006. We were in the Portland area and had read about this place. We went there 2 different times for breakfast and once for dinner. Our favorite was breakfast. We will be back in the area this July, and definately plan on going there for breakfast. Service is wonderful, everyone there is very polite and helpful.

The food was not very good. The service wasn't the worse, and they seemed too shy to be a waitress. The atmosphere is for the elderly.

Heidi's has the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Their fresh baked pastries are wonderful and the menu is huge. There is something for everyone! The prices are pretty good too.

Pros: Friendly staff, Parking, Great Food

Cons: Busy at times

Heidi's not only has good food, they
have a large banquet facility for
social or a business get together.
Their service for large groups is
excellent and we got a good
meal for the price.
