Andrea's Facials

I've been going to Andrea for 15+ years. My mother and I go 6 times a year. We are constantly receiving compliments about our great skin and how youthful we look.

We owe so much of this to Andrea and her fabulous facials. It is One hour and 30 minutes of pure relaxation, with an incredible end result.

Andrea takes time with you-you will not feel rushed like you might at other "big" salons. Andrea also talks to you about concerns she may have about your skin-she is not just smearing lotion on you-each facial is tailored to suit the needs of the client. I hope she never leaves sellwood!

I was referred to Andrea for a facial. The entire experience was wonderful. The salon is SO relaxing and nice. It embodies relaxation with calming music, soothing colors and decor, and a special facial room designed to melt away your stress! After talking with Andrea about my chronic skin problems (mild adult onset acne) I decided to abandon Proactiv and try her regimen. I still can't believe how much better, how glowy and how clear my skin looks. I was wrong about all my previous products used to fight acne. Andrea's simple solution will save you time and frustration, and net you the complexion you've always wanted. Give Andrea's facials a try and I garauntee you will be glad you did.

p.s. when you see Andrea's skin you will know that she knows what she is talking about!

When I first started going to Andrea, my skin was a mess. I had tried so many lotions and potions but nothing had worked. I was getting married and really wanted a clear complexion. I decided to try Andrea after reading all the great reviews on CitySearch. Andrea made me feel comfortable from day one. She patiently explained her process for skincare and gave me realistic timelines of when I should expect my skin to heal. It was clear that Andrea not only has a passion for skincare, she also has the knowledge to back it up. Her facials are luxurious and so relaxing. She is extremely respectful and never pushes products on you. In fact she will load you up with tons of samples. She never makes you feel rushed. She won?t accept tips. She always promptly returns phone calls. I could go on and on and on? My skin looks and feels better now than it has in a long time. I am so glad I read the reviews on CitySearch and tried Andrea?s Facials! I know I will be a loyal customer for years!

Where does one begin with how to explain how Andrea's facials changed my life? To start, I was asked just last week by a co-worker what do I do to "have such great skin?" I have to say that I am asked this question alot, then followed by comments like "your skin is flawless, how do you do it?" I always answer, "I go to Andrea's Facials" and explain to them what an experience it is to be under Andrea's healing hands. The word "bliss" and "what a magical place" it is also enters the conversation as I explain the experience of having a facial by Andrea. The ambiance is unparelled, and I have traveled to many spas in Carmel, California, Florida- all over- and none of them compare to Andrea's Facials. The facial room is a warm, cozy cocoon that I love-as well as the comfy, warm, clean towels and linens. I also have to mention the lovely , calming music is breathtaking. I have been going to her for many years and feel fortunate that she is in my own backyard, right here in the Pacific Northwest.
I just turned 45 years old and have been told I have the skin of someone much younger and I attribute it to the guidance and years of knowledge Andrea possesses. I battled skin problems most of my life and thought it was the hand I was dealt, until I went to Andrea and she taught me true skin care. She is a master of her craft, once you go to Andrea's, you'll never have to go to anyone else for great skin care.

In preparation for my upcoming wedding I decided to start getting facials and really try to solve my skin problems. I'm so happy I went to Andrea!

She was very honest about how long it might take for the results I want and about the cost of some recommended products in the future, but was not pushy at all about selling products or services. At some beauty facilities I have had the experience that they make one feel bad if one does not buy the product they recommend, but Andrea told me that if I decide I either can't spend the money on that product or something in my life comes up that I can't buy it any longer, that it's not the end of the world. She didn't go through any sales pitch like, to be honest, I was expecting. She basically said, "If you can get it that's wonderful, but if you can't we'll do something else."

The space is warm and amazingly clean, very relaxing. Her approach to cleansing the face at home does sound a bit weird at first, but as she explains it it makes more and more sense. And after only a few days with the method (I believe it's explained on her website) she recommended I've seen positive results. I've stopped using my usual topical skin treatments, as well, and I'm amazed at how much of a difference there is already because I've relied on different prescription and over-the-counter treatments since before I was in high school - it's about time I got to stop.

Oh! And my sister told me she's jealous of my skin and is planning on seeing Andrea.

I can't wait to go back, and really wish I had started going a lot sooner.

I have been going to Andrea exclusively several times a year for 14 years. I have recommended her to all my friends & they love her too. The spa is a lovely, relaxing, beautiful experience. Andrea taught me how to care for my skin years ago, for which I am eternally grateful. Andrea is a wonderful person, a great friend and very knowledgeable about skin care. I'm very appreciative of Andrea's direct, clear & honest approach to advice on skin care & life! Andrea is a wonderful guide through the maze and expense of skin care. I will be seeing her for the rest of my life, no matter where I live.

I went, devotely, to Andrea for years when I lived in Portland. I have lived in LA now for 5 years and I STILL call her for advice and book an appt with her whenever I'm in town for more than a day. She truly CARES about your skin and will work diligently to find the right products for your skin type. When I started, my skin was breaking out all the time and very unbalanced. She worked out a program for me that has kept me virtually break-out free for years! I trust her implicitly with my skin AND I feel that she's become a friend in the process -- what a perk!

Andrea's Facials is the perfect place to go if you want personal attention from an experienced esthetician. Andrea spent a full three hours with me not only doing a fantastic facial but getting to know my skin and giving me a lesson on skin care. I really felt as if she wanted the best for me. I have been to popular spas for facials and while they were nice, it did not feel nearly as complete and personal as Andrea's facials are. Why go to a ritzy salon where you may be set up with a facialist with hardly any experience, she may have just graduated from beauty school! Andrea has been caring for skin for 18 years and it shows! Treat yourself to a wonderful facial and get the added benefit of a lesson in skin care treatment and maintenance! Thank you Andrea!

As a self proclaimed "spa junkie," I've experienced many facials from the Golden Door to the health club. Hands down my best, most relaxing and cleansing facials have been from Andrea. Her facility is clean, relaxing and private. She is so knowledgeable about skin issues and products but educates you in a very nuturing not clinical or high sales pressure environment. I've been going to her for over 4 years and highly recommend her to anyone but looking at my skin is the best testimonial.

Having a facial at Andrea's is a little slice of heaven! She not only has a divine touch during the facial, she is full of helpful advice tailored to your skin and lifestyle. In the five years I have been visitng Andrea's, my skin has improved so much! Andrea also carries a full line of products and she always has samples available to try before buying.

Her eyebrow waxing technique is amazing! She really takes her time and the waxing is almost as relaxing as a facial.

Most importantly, Andrea provides wonderful, customer service. It is always a pleasure to visit her salon!

It makes me feel really lucky to have found Andrea.
In the past, I have experienced hundreds of facials and tried what feels like half a zillion products.
I've been zapped, blasted and deep cleansed with very few positive results.
I had pretty much resolved myself to the fact that I have bad (not horrible) skin with uneven coloring and deep oil-filling pores.
Andrea is a facial goddess. She has gently, over time, given me excellent advice that has changed my skin.
It's very risky to step into an unfamiliar salon and try something new, but I am very glad that I did. I am grateful for Andrea and her non-salesy, common sense, mature approach to healing and nurturing my skin.
Her shop is friendly,homey and non-threatening.
For the sake of your skin (and your self image) give Andrea a try!

Andrea is a true professional, she never "pushes" product, instead helping her clients
with preventive care for the skin.
I have always felt that Andrea is giving 100% of her knowledge and time with every client.

Andrea not only gives me the best facial I have ever had, she has taught me how to heal my skin. I have the typical oily, clogged t-zone. After years of scrubbing and using harsh cleansers the condition of my skin made me look older than I am. I have been seeing Andrea for 9 months and my skin is more hydrated, much less red and with very few break-outs.
Andrea is very compassionate towards her clients. She takes the time to explain why she recommends techniques for healing the skin. While she offers wonderful products, she never pressures me to buy them. I really appreciate her intelligence, her attention to detail and her honesty.

One of my finest indulgences is having a facial. Really, no other beauty treatment that I participate in, gives me the feeling of well being, serenity, and cleanliness.

I have lived in several different major cities and have tried many different spas. Although they were all wonderful, Andrea's techniques and her personal charm win the award for best facial in my experience.

The atmosphere is calming, the products are wonderful, and Andrea is a perfectionist!

My only regret is not being able to have facials more often!

Andrea with great concern and care was able to heal my skin. I never would have thought that possible. Now I enjoy healthy, stable skin without a complicated regime. It is so wonderful to be able to rely on her and her products and not to worry anymore. My friends have noticed the changes. My pores are smaller, the color is even, and it glows. Her approach to skin care works!!

Her salon is lovely and inviting, and I always look forward to going to see her. Her treatments are so relaxing. I would recommend her to anyone.

I've been going to Andrea at least once a month for about six years. It's the best 90 minutes of every month! My age is often guessed 8-10 years younger than I really am, and Andrea gets much of the credit. She has simplified the mysterious world of serums and creams for me, and I have my skin ritual down to a few minutes a day. But it's not just the fact that my skin looks younger and more radiant than ever before that I appreciate about my visit to Andrea. It's always my best nap of the month as well! Her facials room is a complete sensory experience: tinkling fountain, always the best, quiet relaxing music playing, and a fabulously comfortable table. I can often drift off to sleep even before Andrea leaves the room after applying my first mask. I leave there feeling calm and serene, and my skin glows. Andrea also understands customer service better than anyone I've ever met in her business. She is friendly, but highly professional, which I appreciate. Appointments have never been messed up, and she is completely reliable. I've been a client of Andrea's for over 15 years. I have never gotten compliments on my skin until after Andrea took me under her expert care. The best illustration---my younger sister came out to visit me from VA about ten years ago. This was the same dear sister who during my teenage years used to call me "Pimple face from outer space". (Children can be so cruel). During her visit, we were out walking and she turned to me and said, "Your skin looks beautiful". The first thought that came to mind was "Andrea".

My daughter and I have been going to Andrea for 10+ years. I love having people tell me that we look like sisters - not mother and daughter. I owe a lot of this to Andrea. She consistantly gives me an incredible facial. I feel totally pampered during the 1.5 hour session and when finished I'm totally rejuvenated. Telling my story to others has become part of my conversation when sharing 'what is my secret'! Over the years we have become good friends and I visit her professionally six times a year. She understands my skin and is the first to spot something that isn't working. I will be 63 this year and just last week, someone told me they thought I was 45. Thank you Andrea!!!!!

A friend recommended Andrea to me, and I have been a loyal client for over 3 years. This is what I like most about Andrea's facials:

* skin feels and looks amazing afterwards for a long time--especially if you follow her advice
* she does very thorough extraction if you want one--you do need to ask for it. The skin looks very good right away even after heavy extraction--I don't know how she does it.
* zero pressure to buy products (although she carries reasonably priced high quality lines that make your skin glow)
* she does not accept tips--so what you pay is actually less than what you would pay in many other places
* Andrea is a unique person--you'll know what I mean when you meet her.

I have been seeing Andrea for over three years and she has helped me make drastic improvements to my face. I have rosacea and acne, truly problem skin, but with the facials and advice I have been given by Andrea I can go without makeup and my skin looks good. Even my dermatologist is surprised at the improvement in my skin, he had been recommending laser surgery and now wants to wait to see how much healthier I can get my face with the regime I have through Andrea. I absolutely adore her, she's worth her weight in gold.

I have been going to Andrea for facials monthly for over 15 years. Andrea is the most attentive, gentle, caring, and meticulous esthetician out there. She works very hard at accomodating your needs, concerns, and schedule. She is extremely flexible and selfless. This woman will go after every pore if you want her to with her extractor, or let you just enjoy a relaxing treatment. She will gently guide you on how to heal and nourish your skin. She believes in a gentle approach, and it works. There has not been one tip or trick she has suggested that hasn't transformed my skin. I have had my skin commented on for all the years I have been going to her, no one ever believes my age when I tell them. Genetics plays a part, but her healing hands and knowledge I know are what is preserving what I was born with. I love her and have been known to expound about her talents, abilities and grace for hours on end. She is simply the best. You will be spoiled silly at an unheard of rate for her European facial, and she will refuse your tips. All she asks is that if you were happy with your service to recommend her to a friend or family member. I have been doing that ever since I met her! Such grace.

When I first began getting facials from Andrea, it was to help with acne. Now it is for keeping my aging skin heathy. She taught me how to moisturize and cleanse my skin in a way that was much gentler and more effective in clearing up my acne than the medicine and cleansers I had been using.

Andrea never tries to sell anything and lets me set the tone each time I come in. If I want to learn from her, she takes the time to explain to me what is going on with my skin and how take care of it. If I want to simply get a facial and relax that is fine too.

I love that she allows for plenty of time between customers so you are never rushed. It is a very relaxing and plush setting, and at the same time really down to earth and comfortable. She is really flexible with scheduling and mailing me products if I can't come in to pick something up.

I have referred friends to her over the years and have received positive feedback from all of them.

I have lived in the Portland area almost 2 years now and have been looking for a great place to get a facial. I've tried a few places. Andrea has a lot of experience and gives a great facial. Very very relaxing and my skin looks and feels great. There is another place in NW Portland that gives pretty good facials too. But I really like Andrea's products. The Sothy's line is my favorite - especially the cream. Her salon is so peaceful and cozy. I like where it is located also. It's not so busy with traffic and there is never a problem with parking. Definitely one of the best places to get a facial in the Portland area.

Andrea is a godsend. She has such a passion for helping her Clients create healthy habits to ensure healthful and glowing skin. Her approach is low key. She never pushes products but believes in every product she sells. I've been going for facials with her for over 15 years. When asked my secret to youthful skin I always say sleep, water and a quarterly facial from Andrea.

I normally go to a different salon for my facials but I received a gift certificate from a friend for a facial with Andrea. I thought I was getting the best facials in the Portland area until I had this one done by Andrea. What an amazing experience. The salon itself is so charming, and Andrea was such a pleasure to talk with. She is extremely knowledgeable and she really cares about healthy skin. The facial itself was very soothing, relaxing, and one that I didn't want to end. I bought some Sothy's products and they are the best I have ever used. My skin looked and felt better in just a few days of use. Although I have been faithful to my other salon for 6 years Andrea will be the only one that does my facials now. Just one facial proved to me that she has more experience and her products are better. And to top it off she truly cares about the condition of my skin. You just can't beat that. I'm so thankful I received that gift certificate because that is how I found Andrea. I thought others would like to know about Andrea and her facials. You may think you are getting a good facial (like I did) until you have one done by Andrea.

Andrea gives excellent skin care advice and the most relaxing and beneficial facial you can find anywhere. I have a life objective of visiting the top ten destination spas in the US and thus far have made seven of the ten...and yet have never had a facial better than what Andrea provides. She is a trusted advisor and has always given me excellent guidance. So give yourself a treat and make an appointment with Andrea!
