I'd heard alot about this store but never really wanted to make the drive (from Vancouver). Finally did and WOW was I impressed! My daughter didn't want to go, but once we got there she was EXCITED! The staff was VERY helpful and had more patience than I expected. I ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes instead of just one! I'll never buy kids shoes from anywhere else!

This store is so fun and whimsical! The shoes are simply gorgeous! They carry high end european brands. The shoes are a little expensive but worth the money. They also have a great play area for the kids to keep them busy. The staff is super friendly.
PROS: Unique shoes and gorgeous store

Haggis McBaggis always has the cutest window displays! They are known through out the city for their selection of high-end European children's shoes. They carry Elefanten, Primigi, and many others. The shoes are quite expensive, but if you can catch a sale, you can actually get nice shoes at the end of the season. They have a little play area for children, so parents can shop and kids can stay busy. They also have a small selection of socks, tights, and locally designed clothing. They have pajamas from time to time as well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to children and parents alike.

This store sells some kids clothes and high end shoes. We came looking for shoes and they did have the higher end shoes that we were looking for. The store also has a cute play area for the little ones, which kept my son occupied a bit while we were shopping.
Now, the store did have the shoes, but not much else. The clothing was very limited and there really wasn't much of a browse factor at all. If you aren't looking for expensive little kid shoes there really isn't much point here. Or also little girl tights. The help wasn't all that helpful and not particularly friendly, while I did buy a pair of shoes, I wouldn't go back. And I actually think we ended up with a "floor model" with no discount, which sorta sucks.
PROS: hard to find shoes
CONS: poor selection, service

This cute little store in Westmoreland is a fun one to spend some time in if you have kids. They are known for their fun and funky footwear for children, plus they have other accessories and a small selection of clothing as well. Adorable boots for puddle jumping and European shoes for the well-dressed child - this store has it all. Their prices are on the high side, but the items they sell are definitely high quality and worth the extra money if you have it.
The staff is friendly and helpful and the store itself is fun to browse in or even just window shop if you prefer.
You can park in the public lot just one block down and across the street, so parking shouldn't be a problem.
PROS: Nice selection of footwear, friendly staff

I have become a regular of this fantastic kid's store in Westmoreland (Portland). This is the only children's store where I feel the staff truly likes my Nieces. They are so helpful and friendly, and their shoes and clothes and hats and toys all have that wonderful, quirky sensibility that says: these folks LOVE kids. The whole store is set up to let me shop while my seven and three year old are content.
It's the only store my nieces get excited about going to. Doesn't that say it all?

Minimal selection, overpriced, a local Yuppiedumb shop, go online or Kmart for better quality. The current economy will most likely end this operation. Sorry, but that is just the way it is.

I was an out of towner happened to be in the area. Love this place!!! The store has so many selections for both my son and daughter. Although the price is a little bit on the higher end for kids' shoes, the staff's friendly service and the shoes' quality sure offset that.

Forget Nordstrom...you have to check this store out for the absolute COOLEST shoes for your baby! I've never seen such a vast selection of unique footwear for babies. Great accessories too. The staff went above and beyond in finding the perfect pair of shoes for my daughter (all right the perfect THREE pairs of shoes). I even found a pair of NAOT shoes for myself! Make sure to check out their yearly sale...up to 50% on all their inventory!
Pros: huge selection of cool baby shoes
Cons: limited parking

The staff at Haggis McBaggis have gone above & beyond to fit my daughter in the perfect shoes and they always have something fun & funky for her to feel special - thank you for offering an alternative to 'boring' for our kids in Portland.
Pros: funk, fun, specialized attention
Cons: too far away, open in Portland!

This is a wonderful example of what a small buisness should be like. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, the store is bright and well stocked and the atmosphere is fun and light. I stop in every month or so to pick up gifts for newborns and shoes for my kids. I even get my birthday and christmas gifts here. They have a wonderful and unique selection.
Pros: Atmosphere, Unique selection, Knowledgeable staff

Today I was lucky enough to make my annual trip to Haggis for my son's shoes, it's a treat to go there. What wonderful people, the staff truly cares about the comfort of your child--not only in shoe size but the experience of buying the shoes. My very first visit there took two hours, not because they are slow...it just is a nice place to hang out with your kid and look at shoes. Some may find their prices high, but because they have such incredible customer service I feel the extra price is worth it. I would rather spend the money on a more expensive pair of shoes knowing they have sized him correctly and taken the time to really help us chose the best shoe for his needs.
It is one of the best stores in Portland, in my humble opinion!
Pros: They like kids!, Original attire, Smart staff
