I went this Les Schwab on S Hwy 97 while vacationing near Bend, OR this weekend. I thought my Les Scwab tires would be destroyed after spinning off the road 50 feet through gravel and shrubs. There was a lot of debris wedged between the tire and the rims. \n\nI am always blown away by the free labor and customer service I experience at Les Schwab. (They've patched flats for me several times). This weekend was the same. They took all the tires off and cleaned, inspected, and aired them and didn't charge me a dime. \nI don't know how this business model works but they've got my business. \nI recommend Les Schwab on S Hwy 97. \n

I went to this branch last weekend. My wife and I were headed over the pass, but when we got to Bend our truck had a shimmy, and a metallic grinding noise. We returned home, and the next day took it to Schwabs, as it was close. The guy who helped us, younger guy, seemed like he knew what he was doing initially. He put the truck on the lift, and came out to ask me if I had the key for the security lug nuts on my wife's truck. When we couldn't find it, he offered to replace all of them with standard, for $25. No problem so far. He rotated the tires, and took it for a spin. He came back stating that it was fixed, he heard no noises. I was excited, easy fix, right? \r\n\r\nWell... we didn't even drive a block and we noticed the metallic grinding noise again, but the shimmy was gone. So we took it to another mechanic, one who had done some work for us before. He took it for a spin, and after 5 minutes of his return, asked me to come and look at something. Her truck had broken leaf springs in the rear, both of them!! It freaked me out, especially when one of the springs had practically fallen apart, and one of the springs had a piece of it off at an angle, and within 4 inches of making contact with her DR tire. Both the mechanic, as well as a friend of mine who used to be a mechanic, told me that the vehiicle could have had the entire rear end shift, and they truck ""could"" have flipped!!\r\n\r\nOne question: How can someone at Schwabs not see this big chunk of metal from a leaf spring hanging out next to the tire, when they had just taken the rear tire off?? My wife could have had an accident.\r\n\r\nVery disappointed in Les Schwabs. Ever since Les passed away their service has gone downhill. They're overpriced, and apparently they are undertrained. \r\n\r\nHopefully someone at Les Schwabs reads this, as their website has no customer feedback forum. I would like to know why I should ever go back to one? I was going to take my truck to the one in Portland for a brake service, but not now!

Cons: Too expensive, lack of experience in staff
