I needed some additional pictures of an upcoming auction lot. So I requested specific photos be taken of individual items in the lot. Katie emailed the exact photographs needed and with great clarity. This all took place promptly and with this information I'm confident when I bid I'll know exactly what I'm bidding on. Thank you O'Gallerie for this professional customer service.

I purchased "four articles of 14K gold jewelry" at your recent auction on Invaluable. The photographs were very enticing.
I was both surprised and disappointed when I received these. They were nowhere near the dimensions shown in your listing. They were tiny. I've purchased lots at your actions before, and have always been satisfied. I note that many of the houses offering jewelry post a disclaimer to the effect that the photographs are enlargements so you can more clearly see the details. If you had done that, I wouldn't have any reason to complain. Instead, I assumed that the photos were representative of the sizes of the four articles I purchased.

When I find honesty and competency in one package, I consider myself very fortunate.

Ogallerie is quite simply, the best!

I have followed and purchased from O'Gallerie since living in Oregon 12 years ago. I have made a few purchases and been pleased with all however I completely disagree with a policy of refusing to have a jeweler inspect expensive colored stones in jewelry. Who would ever sell a quality stone through an auction house that can only tell buyers it is a "ruby" or "Sapphire" (no natural v. synthetic, no treatments noted, no fillings). Of course this benefits fake or filled stones but we must now always assume low quality as the buyer. I asked for reports on a stone and the response was to hire a gemologist for several hundred dollars to evaluate their merchandise. Really? They can't have a local jeweler take a loup up to their larger sapphires and rubies and let us know if it is heated or worse, filled? Any jeweler can tell in a second. What does this say about their other items that I don't know to ask about?

I have been buying from O'Gallerie for many years, always as an online bidder. I have stopped doing business with almost all other auction houses, but return every month to O'Gallerie. Why? They stand behind their descriptions. They are accurate and fair in their representation of items. They are honest, warm folks to do business with. They make it easy to adjust if something goes wrong AND (this is a biggie), they do their own in-house shipping at reasonable cost and very quickly. No worries about what a third party shipper will charge after they have your items--at O'Gallerie, shipping charges will be fair and they'll hold my hand if needed until it all gets to me and is inspected. Simply the finest group of people to do business with, especially from a distance. Bravo, O'Gallerie!

O'Gallerie is an up scale auction house that handles on the best in antique items. You may bid live in the auction facility, bid via phone, US Mail or bid live on the inter-net.

Pros: Great Items, Helpful Staff, Prompt Payment

In reference to the above review, I was at that auction. O'Gallerie did an excellent job. If consignors feel their items are worth more than they actually are, of course they're going to be unhappy. O'Gallerie is THE finest auction house on the west coast. And I should know. I attend auctions all over the world. O'Gallerie pays their consignors on time and all consignment fees are clearly spelled out in their consignment agreement, which is filled out and signed by each consignor well in advance of the auction. Two years ago O'Gallerie auctioned off my parents estate. They estimated the entire estate would sell somewhere in the $60,000 to $80,000 range. Five weeks after the auction I received a check for over $125,000!!!! No complaints here. I'll use them again whenever the need arrises.

I had give them thousands of dollars worth of edwardian chairs, lamps, mirrors, we had bought a smaller house and needed to downsize. They sold all of it for a couple of hundred dollars, only, they also charged me a non-refundable $85 to pick everything up, their commission took out half of the profit, I almost died, it became obvious their bidders are not educated since the bidders set the prices and the lack of interest in these incredible items shows a certain clientele, which could be Portland or outside of Portland, in other words, if you value and appreciate your pieces DO NOT take them to this auction house, they sell junk to junk dealers and I was stupid in giving them my precious family heirlooms to sell
