This hotel is pretty luxurious. It is old, but the building is renovated. Get a suitethey are more spacious. The room we stayed in was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. The bathrobes were sure something. You have to park your car underground, I dont know if that is good or bad. The staff here are friendly and polite.

The rooms were clean, service was good......and the central downtown location make this hotel a good bet. Parking is expensive if you have a vehicle...and Portland's transit center is so good, I'd suggest going against a car unless you really need one.

Well-appointed rooms, centrally located for easy downtown event-going, great staff & helpful concierge. There's a fabulous Aveda Spa connected to the hotel; great room service and they let you sleep in! (Ask for late checkout!!)

I travel alot for work. When ever I am in Portland, I always make it a point to stay at the 5th ave suites (or sister property the Hotel Vintage Plaza). These properties are the best mix of reasonable rates and 5 star service. The hotel is always very clean, staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also offer free wine tasting between 5-6 in their lobby. My vote for a the best hotel in Portland.
