We stopped at the Steelhead for some beer and dinner. Having the word brewery means we thought it would be good. Oh how wrong we were.

We got the halibut fish and chips and the fish tacos. The "halibut" was awful. Strong and odd tasting - not in a good way.

The "award winning" beer was fairly poor - neither could even be described as average, both had poor flavors.

The service was awful. Our server took 15 minutes to get our beers because he was busy off taking other orders instead of putting our in. After the meal he didn't even check if we had enjoyed our "fish" - it was like he knew it would be crap.

It's such a nice looking place though, in a good location. Makes it all the worse really.....

Great food and beer selection. Friendly and helpful wait staff make it worth the wait on a Friday night Can be a bit noisy at times but is still a lot of fun.

I've only eaten lunch there once but it was so noisy that we couldn't carry on a conversation. I didn't care for the open barn like atmosphere. The food was just "OK".

This place has a great fun ambiance, a friendly wait staff. The food is just what you would expect from a clean and jovial brewery environment. Super relaxed! A nice place to be.

I went with 4 friends and sat outside on a beautiful fall day. The service was ok. All of us have very different tastes in food and we ordered a wide variety of dishes...angel hair pasta, burger, fish tacos...but we were all pleased with what we ordered. Next time I'm in Eugene, I would return here.

Pros: Fries were great

A few words of advice here: Sit outside if you can, bring friends, eat food, and have some of the local ale here. No better relaxed way to spend a summer Eugene afternoon. Okay, there are many other ways, but this is one of them okay?

I really enjoy Steelhead. They have a nice atmosphere--large comfy chairs to sit in, and nice TVs for sports events--all in a classy restaurant. Great appetizers, though prices are a bit high.

Located in the 5th street shopping district, the Steelhead is a conveniently located bar and restaurant. They brew excellent beer on the premises and offer a variety of kinds. The atmosphere is enhanced with big windows. My only real complaint is that some tables have easy chairs for seating which sometimes are not compatible with the height of the tables.

The Steelhead Brewery beers are recommended. the IPA's and porters especially. The honey vanilla root beer is also great. The chicken and shrimp pasta jambalaya is a hit. The pizzas are okay, great in size, but flavors and ingredients are not all they are made out to be. The outdoor side is great on a nice sunshiny day. Great place to sit and relax after a hard day's work and chat. Service was decent.
