I am particular about caring for my car and have been very disappointed by service in other dealerships around the Portland area. I brought my car in to Armstrong and they were very helpful and didn't try to push unneeded repairs or extra services. They did once make a mistake but owned up to it quickly, made sure I had transportation while they remedied it and didn't charge. They were very professional and did a great job.

We visited Armstrong Buick when we were out shopping for a new truck. We weren't that pleased or impressed with this place. They didn't seem to want to work with us at all. They just tried to push us into a truck just to sell one. I doubt we'd ever recommend them to anyone.

Bad service experience

I took my 2001 VW Jetta in because lack of power. I thought the dealer would be the best place for service, but boy was I wrong!! After $400 plus of diagnostic work which took a day and half I still had the same problem. I even had to call for updates. I expressed my feelings to the service guy and he literally got into my face about how well the technician was trained.
A few months later after saving more money, I took the car to an independent auto mechanic and within 20 minutes he found the problem. The intake manifold was full of carbon. This problem was checked by the dealer but they said it was ok.
I would never recommend Armstrong service to anyone.
