The Dragon Gym is far more than just a martial arts studio, it is a home away from home, it is a family. The room for success here is tremendous, as someone who has always actively participated in school sports, and extracurricular

I have been going to this gym for over a year and have found that it has everything I need in a gym. I went for the Muay Thai and stayed because of the environment and the people. All the employees are professional and polite. As for comments I've read regarding this gym, I 100% disagree if you have an issue I recommend calling and speaking with the Gym Owners. I have been involved with martial arts before, if it's one thing I know it's that the owners only care about their students.

All the instructors there especially the head instructors are only interested in making money I agree with the reviews that i read from ones that are saying the same thing as i am! They are like Amkor karate just as bad as them a money making business, They will lie to you're face and do the opposite!

This gym is an excellent place to study martial arts with knowledgeable instructors and many disciplines it is a place for students of any level and any age group. I have seen personally students training in: Tai Chi, Aikedo, Hapkedo, Mixed Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu and my discipline of Muay Thai Kickboxing. My son joined the pee-wee class and has enjoyed every session, masters Linnie and Lonnie are enthusiastic, friendly, patient and good with the kids no matter their level of training.

As for the adult classes the instructors are friendly and welcoming to newcomers, taking time to instruct on the basics before adding them to the regular students. Also everyone is encouraged to help each other with no one being above another. Each student works to help the others grow as martial artist creating a close bond of support.

And the gym's staff cares about it's members outside of the gym. When one of the students went missing we took time to make all the students aware to keep an eye out should anything be heard, each instructor knows their students by name not by numbers and is willing to help work through problems that might be affecting them. And whatever your reasons for studying martial arts: fitness, stress relief, competition etc. The instructors are willing to help you achieve your goals and will advise you on things to improve your skills.

The gym is affordably priced as well, comparing other gyms that offer less classes and variety yet were much more expensive than the Dragon Gym.

Finally as a community and friends everyone is encouraged to meet after classes, or on weekends for potlucks, to gather for fights, just hang out beyond just the classes. Tight bonds are formed with other students and parents creating a good support group for each student.

I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a comfortable learning environment with a knowledgeable and friendly staff and a family friendly environment. They offer free introduction sessions and great deals for beginning students. Call or just walk in to talk to any of the instructors and you will find a willing person who have answered e-mails and phone calls anytime I've sent them.

Hope to see you there!!

My child has been going to the Dragon Gym for almost 7 years. When he started it was with the founder. Now the gym is owned by other people and they have turned this into a money machine instead of a quality gym that it use to be. When asked about the next belt level for my child I was informed that he would have to take private lessons. When discussed about going from the children program to the adult I was informed that he would have to start over again from Level I to Level II to achieve his Level II black Belt. They don't return phone calls or emails in a timely manner. I know many families who have dropped out because in their words its not quality its a money making machine. They promote the children from white to Black quickly, then most of them drop out and the ones that stay, they continue to train with all levels only to be constantly turned down for promotion to the next level. My question is how is someone to advance when they have 3 to 5 years as a black belt and there training with new black belts? Do your homework, ask, questions, and ask parents in the neighboring schools before you make that final move to join this gym that likes to nickel and dime you charging high fees for boards that your child doesn't get credit for buying some of the time.

Both of my children train at this Dragon gym and I am very happy with the instructors and their approach. These instructors are dedicated to teaching not only martial arts skills but life skills as well, improving focus and discipline in young students with the right balance of fun. I am impressed with their dedication to helping shape their students. I can highly recommend the Exton Dragon Gym to anyone interested in giving their children a positive martial arts experience.

Nothing but lies and added fees. Belt test fees $55 for a piece of paper and a $5 belt. Look around, you can find better for less. Read the contract closely, trust me!!! They preach respect and discipline but they don't respect the very members that keep this gym going. During a belt testing ceremony the black belts judging us were joking around and not paying any attention to the people that prepared for months for the test. Basically if you have the money, you have the belt. If you really want to get what you pay for and not get screwed don't go to Dragon Gym, there are gyms all around the area that you can go to that are much better.

This is a great place for kids and adults alike. Weather you are a beginner or a pro, this is the spot to go. The instructor is excellent and has much, much experience. They gear the programs at building self confidence before anything else. It is a small gym off of a semi-back road and you will receive personalized service.
