The Avalon Hotel is a medium sized hotel located in downtown Erie. It isn't the Hilton, Four Seasons or even the DoubleTree, but if you are looking for a hotel room you will find it here. The great thing about the Avalon is that it is one of the few hotels within the city. Yes you have a lot of "motels" within the city but the Avalon is a somewhat nicer hotel, someplace that you might want to stay for a few days. Located right smack in the middle of downtown Erie, you have access to the Bayfront, the Warner, the Erie Art Museum, Jerry Uht Park, and many other attractions, restaurants and bars, etc. Prices aren't cheap, but standard for a hotel of this caliber.

never stay here, they promise you way more than they give to you. the service was lousy and the food is aweful. they are just one of the hotels that because of the location they get you to stay there and then you find out they are not what they say they are.

Don't stay at this hotel, the service is terrible. The rooms are not cleaned that thoroughly and when you complain about something being dirty they get mad. I guess for the price you get what you pay for but it ain't worth it you mine as well spend the extra money. The parking is okay it's close to the hotel or at least in walking distance and the bar/restaurant inside the hotel is worth relaxing at, but the overall customer service one can do without.
