Last JULY '10 I chose my wedding date (august '11) according to the availability of the masters suite at Heritage Hills. This is where I want my guests to stay and where I want to come celebrate after our reception. We tried to hold a block of 50 rooms. We are having people from Europe, Canada and all over this country travel to York, PA for our wedding. The majority of our guests will need a place to stay. They would only give us a block of 23 rooms. That is the policy. Fair enough. We sent our invitations out early to ensure we covered our bases helping our guests arrange travel. The end of May a friend of mine tried to book her room and they said the ENTIRE hotel was booked. We filled our block of 23 and no one called to tell us. The bridal party wasn't entirely booked. Maybe that was my fault, but there are still LOADS of guests that will not fit.

I am really discouraged. They really ruined what my ideal day would have been like. I will not let them get me down, obviously, we will bring the party to what ever hotel we end up staying in, in the end it doesn't matter. Our wedding day will be brilliant. But Heritage Hills is a place my family will never give business to again. Did I mention that my sister is getting married in October? Same deal. Huge wedding. 2 weddings that will not be giving Heritage Hills our business. The worst part of all of this? They don't care. They will probably fill the hotel any way. It's just upsetting that they don't care enough to accommodate a wedding. Its a resort. A resort. HA! They don't know the first thing about service.

I'd be very careful if I were a bride. I am not writing this to bash the hotel, though it feels great to vent. I am writing to warn people if you have an important event, like your wedding day...do yourself a favor. Run!

this is a great place to spend time with you kids. but eat a good breakfast before you go snowtubing! lines are shortest in the morning and around lunch while everyones away eating. I highly recomend walking while you can. its good excersise and can save time. the line for the lift can be lengthy at times and about mid day they block the hill and force you to take the lift. (this is to lessen the amount of people at the top of the hill) also be sure to wear snow gloves and sun glasses or ski goggles. your hands get cold and sometimes wet. also flurries come up as you fly down the hill. i enjoy being able to see where im going so glasses are conveniant in my opinion. after a day here you are tired and ready to take a nap. GREAT WAY TO SPEND YOUR DAY DURING THE WINTER SEASON.

Pros: lots of fun

Cons: long line at times

Heritage Hills is a great facility. Very long, challenging golf course. Fairways are very tight with numerous sand traps. Greens are exceptional. This golf course is exceptionally well maintained. The whole facility is great. Pricing is a little than the average but well worth it. Nice pro shop and place to eat.
