Located within the 30th Street Train Station, this is a well-known coffee shop in the same category as Starbucks, although with plentiful pasteries and other assorted fruit items. THey also offer sandwiches that are made fresh daily, as well as two soups that change each day. I have had the pleasure of enjoying the soup on a cold winter's day and have also had the pleasure of purchasing Low-fat muffins for my co-workers for morning meetings. Au Bon also allows you to purchase large coffee in the dispensers for meetings as well which is extremely convinient. Slightly expensive, but worth it.

PROS: Delicious bakery items
CONS: High prices

Au Bon Pain is a trendy-ish bakery that offers many types of muffins, bagels, and croissants, usually laid out for the passerby to pick up as he chooses, as well as an assortment of drinks (coffee, tea, lemonades, fresh-squeezed OJ). Depending upon location, some offer other small food items (soups, sandwiches).

The main thing about Au Bon Pain is their price... When I had some gift certificates, I didn't mind dropping by for a quick bite to eat. However, I could never see myself paying $2 for that bottle of water, or paying so much for a skone. Seems ridiculous if you ask me, but this place always seems to have business.

PROS: Convenient
CONS: price
