Pine Burr Inn

We got two rooms at the Pine Burr Inn while we were in town for a wedding. One of the rooms smelled overwhelmingly like an ash tray, though some of the staff members claim that the inn has been "smoke-free" for over a year now. Literally, the smell was horrible and impossible to mask with perfume/cologne (though, believe me, we tried). If some guests want heat, then you can forget about turning on the A/C. It took three days to get in touch with the manager and that was a phone call that only ended with him hanging up on me. The rooms are disgusting and the staff members are rude and have no concept whatsoever of customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Do not believe there rates over the phone. They as in two different employee's quoted 53.90 single and 68.66 double for military discount. they did NOT HONER THE MILITARY DISCOUNT UPON ARI VAL.They said that they do not do military discount. Well a little late to change reservations. I called them to ask why they did this and talked to a third employee and said we don't do military discount and don't know why I was told that. Plus she said they don't even have those prices. That the price was 54...72... What is up with that? Beware! I would NOT recommend this to anyone. They sucker the military in and then screw them. Wow. After I gave my life for them for 21 years and still am they want to do this.

CONS.- That is what they are.

Everyone is very nice, the food is great and at a reasonable price, the cocktail lounge rivals one in New York, only with much cheaper prices, the barmaid is very nice and will make your stay a good experience, very clean and not pricy at all. Go there you wont be sorry,

I spoke with three staff members, at three diffierent times asking for a remote for the TV, all said yes. Five hours later. No results, I went to bed. There was no chain lock on the door. I laid the sofa on edge on the door. They had a wake up policy, forget it they never called me. On my bed was a mattress sheet and one sheet. It may be their policy. I will look for another motel when I am in the area.

The Pine Burr Inn is too expensive for my taste. For a motel that isn't near any major areas it costs way too much. While it is clean and the staff is nice, it is just too expensive for me.
