when you reserve a private car to take you the airport. you expect courtesy and respect. not so with Skyline.

i reserved a car thinking i was dealing with actual professionals. the booking was made for 4AM, cash and they took down my contact number. now in all my travels, whenever you reserve a private car or even a cab (like in London), you receive a call letting you know you car has arrived. not so with skyline.

come 4:10AM, i am sitting in the living room with my pregnant sister who is the one travelling and there's no cab.
i then call the company and get an answering machine. when i eventually get a human, he takes 5-7mins to tell me my car's been waiting for 30 mins. when i ask why i was not contacted, he let me know that they are not in the business of contacting their passengers. they expect us to be waiting on them (come rain or shine i guess).
by this time i am fuming. we get down to the car only to encounter another individual that definitely did not got to hospitality school. he comes out of the car all brusque, letting me know he has been waiting for ages. he proceeds to pop the trunk and grab at my luggage. i hold a hand out to stop him before he flings my bags in upside down or something and dude literally flies off the handle. telling me that this trip is cancelled. he doesn't have to take any physical or verbal abuse. it's too early to be yelled at. that how dare i touch him etc. he gets in the car and prepares to drive off. i eventually stop him. my sister comes over, quite confused and wants to know what's happening. i explain and she is stil confused. she keeps asking me why we were not called and i'm like...beats me. now she's apologising to the driver on my behalf, he cracks his window a hairsbreath only to reiterate how it's to early to take this kind of abuse (eye roll x 100). he winds his window back up, we are standing in the cold morning air waiting on this moron to open up the car. he comes out and states that if we are to go we would have to pay $240 instead of the $180 we agreed. now at this point i am ready to call another company but my sister insists that they just go. as he is putting the bags away, my sister is still trying to explain to him what our expectations are and this is what he says "it is too early for me to be going back and forth about this". by this time i'm done. all i can think about is writing this review.

DO NOT USE SKYLINE or be prepared to stand out in the rain, sleet or snow, be charged more than u bargained for and be insulted to boot. these guys are absolutely clueless and deserve to be shut down. you are better off walking than using them.

Being scheduled for a last minute business trip at work, my employer made reservations with Skyline Transportation to transport me to the airport. A towncar arrived promptly at the scheduled time. The driver was courteous and helped me with my luggage but left immediately after he dropped me off and didn't offer to help me with to the curbside assistant. I do suppose that isn't in his job requirement, but I have even had taxi cabs that have done this for me. Another alternative to Skyline that is very affordable and that I have also used is Lady Liberty vans- although not as classy, they will pick you up from your requested location and transport you to the airport. There may be other passengers, but it only costs about $20 there, less than the current cab fare rate.
