The William E. Anderson Library of Penn Hills is a jewel in our community! During the transition to our new building a couple of years ago, I learned to treasure our large collection and services. Well designed with lots of natural light, comfortable seating for reading and computer work, an extra special children's section and space for community events - I enjoy every visit. Staff have been consistently helpful and pleasant.

They have quite good collection of books, music,DVD's of movies. The staff is very friendly & very helpful. They helped me find everything I needed. They helped me find everything I needed. The only problem is that the place is too small & you feel you are bumping on to others while looking for books or DVD's.

The collection of videos/DVD'd in monroeville library is not much when comapred to penn hills library. So even it is little far from our place we visit this library once in 15 days. They have huge collection of movies, from old to recent releases.
We never had problem in check out or return of the books or DVD's but yes we have to be extra careful in explaining them that you have alredy returned the item.Library as it is,is a very small & one feels very congested while walking or while looking for books,DVD'd you'll bump with others.

The people that work in this library are awful. They scan your returns back in and they wind up still being registered to your library card. This happens to me every time I go there... and if the return is not scheduled to go back out, you are the one who winds up with a late fee for something that you already took back. I heard on the TV that they took this woman to the magistrate's office about a $15 fine. Consequently she had to pay the fine and court costs also... I was thinking maybe there could have been a better way for them to straighten that situation out... but I guess they couldn't. Just beware of them up there. I HATE to stop using the library that is closest to my house, but I have thought about it.
