When I lived in Philadephia, Harbison House had become one of my favorite places to eat. The employees were always friendly and talkative whenever I went in there, even after the place was given over to new management sometime last year.

Parking is kind of scarce at this place because it is located right on a corner, although you do have easy access. Parking was never an issue though because I was usually the only other vehicle in the lot most times. I never could understand this because their food was always great. I guess I just went there at non-peak times.

My brother always had to have a hoagie or something from this place whenever he came to visit. If it was the right time of day, we most likely stopped on the way from the airport because it was on my way home.

They over a variety of foods that most of the small shops in Philly offer. All the good food that is associated with Philly: hoagies, seafood platters, cheesesteaks, stromboli's, pizza, calzones, salads, buffalo wings, megafries, even burgers and other Italian dishes. You can also pick up something to drink from their cooler if you are eating on the run.

They also run different specials on different items during different days. So you can pick up a menu and plan your week accordingly.

They are quick with their service and I was always out of there within a reasonable amount of time. You can call and order ahead if you know what you want. They also have free delivery before 3pm. The hours of operation are great. They don't open until the mid morning, but are also open later during on the weekends.

Overall, definitely recommended. I only wish I still lived less than 10 minutes from this establishment.

PROS: good food, variety, friendly employees
CONS: very few parking spaces
