I made an appointment for a Friday to have our dishwasher looked at as it was leaking. The man I spoke to on the phone said he couldn't give me a time for the day they were coming- they would call me "sometime Friday" and let me know when they'd be there that day. I agreed to the appointment, but a few days later called back to see if they could at least give me a 2-3 hour window in which they would be comoing to our house, as I had some things to do that day. The woman that answered the phone was incompenent. It was very evident she was only partially listening to me as I had to spell my last name for her 4 times, and repeat the purpose of my call to her 3 times- she kept saying "what did you say?", "can you repeat that?" , "I'm sorry, say that again" .
She then put me on hold and after several minutes a very rude man got on the phone,"Yeah". I asked him if the woman I had spoken to explained to him the purpose of my call, and he replied, "No she didn't- that's why I'm on the phone talking to you!" At that point I told him I was no longer interested in that business coming out to repair our dishwasher and we ended the call.
BCS may be the only appliance repair service right in Elizabethtown, however there are MANY others close-by in Mount Joy, Marietta, Columbia, and Lancaster, that offer good customer service and fair busines practices. With the economy the way it is, BCS needs to be mindful of their customer service, and according to other reviews on this site, mindful of less-than-optimal business practices!!

I agree with Rebecca U - get it in writing. They ended up replacing a $13 part and charged me $82 for labor. That part took about 10 minutes to put in but because they know how they do the 1/4 hr billing, the guy took his time to get to 40 minutes and added a cost to the repair. I'm not happy. This seems criminal to me!

I agree with Rebecca U - get it in writing. They ended up replacing a $13 part and charged me $82 for labor. That part took about 10 minutes to put in but because they know how they do the 1/4 hr billing, the guy took his time to get to 40 minutes and added a cost to the repair. I'm not happy. We could not be more happy with the customer service from start to finish.
Our neighbors had BCS come out for a repair and they were happy with how quickly BCS was able to be at their home and with the work that was done.
So when our dryer needed to be repaired we thought that we too would call BCS. They told me that the service man would call at a certain time, he did. And he arrived at our home at the time that he said he would.
Within minutes, he had fixed the problem, explained his work, and how he came to his conclusion. AND, we were quite happy with the price!

It was also cool to hear an employee speak so well of his employer. We HIGHLY suggest BCS for your repair needs!

I called about a problem with my Maytag - spoke with a service technician. He explained that it was a water valve that was causing water to drain into my machine when it was not in use. We chatted about possibility of other issues and he said that when they came to install the part they would make sure that the drum was okay (as this apparently is sometimes a problem with my model). I was quoted $74.95 for the part, plus a service call of approximately $69.95 - if they needed to spend more than 1/2 hour there would be an additional fee of $12.00. Receive a call from owner that the part was in and he wanted to schedule to come and install. I said sure - no problem - but remember, you are to check and see the the machine has no other issues. He said well we can't return the part and therefore we will come out to install. He came out that day and was as non-friendly in person as he was on the phone, and then to top it off he charged me $96.99 for the part and $81.95 for the labor. $22.00 more for the part than quoted, and when I brought it to his attention he said well parts are expensive. I could have purchased the part at www.repairclinic.com for $61.65, so I know that I was overcharged for the part since the online vendor charges regular retail prices. I have been trying to use local businesses for everything, but definitely this place will not be used in the future. Be aware of what they quote. Get it in writing!

the work and price was very good - but I had the service repair man come out to my house and look at my washing machine and gave me a price on the parts and the cost to repair it . He called and ask for a payment of 150.00 and I made the mistake of paying with a credit card and they added and extra 62.00. This is an extra 62.00 dollars. I called and talked to Steve and he said he quoted me 150.00 to 200.00 dollar. I must have been dreaming. So I will pay with a check next time.

Most of our appliances our Maytag and all have been purchased from this store. I have found that they have great prices and frequently run sales and offer rebates on the Maytags. Their service department is always prompt in responding to any problems that I may have normally within one to two business days the repair is completed.
