CES offers Lamaze childbirth classes at St. Luke's Hospital, where I delivered my child. They offer multi-day and one-day class options, as well as a refresher course for parents who are expecting a second or subsequent child. I took the one-day course and felt it was a good overview of the childbirth process, a good introduction to the Lamaze method, and a good general explanation of what birthing options and tools are available at the hospital.

Expecting parents who are interested in more in-depth childbirth classes might find such a course limited. If you're committed to childbirth without pain medications, you'd probably benefit more from a hypno-birthing course. Still, I found that this course was well-suited for me and my partner because it gave us a concrete sense of what to expect not only in the birthing process but also in terms of hospital procedure. I would recommend this course for any expecting parents who plan to deliver at St. Luke's.

PROS: Multi-day and one-day course options. clear general overview
CONS: Not very in-depth about methods
