They put up tiny signs where no one can see them and their towers lie in wait, then make you wait 45 minutes before giving you your car. State College Borough is doing a disservice to the public for not taking more responsibilty that signs are large and noticable. The Borough wants more business for the revenue but allows this to happen. Then they vote for higher and higher fees to the towers. Hmmm... I wonder if there's any kickback there. Maybe an investigative reporter could look into that.

Tennis Towing is horrible.

These guys are great. They know me and my family. They're always quick when I call for a tow or when I called them cause I locked my keys in my car (not proud to say that) they were extremely nice and had it open in like under a minute. I recommend tennis to anyone that is looking for great service from people that remember you!

An employee there blatantly treated me with disrespectful. I was also lied to and told I had to leave, instead of waiting a few minuets to be able to get my car. I was physically assaulted by an employer who shoved me out of the door. While standing in the literally blistering cold, I- along with 3 other witnesses-watched them let another customer inside. Why? Because they did not want me to make my payment before they closed (5pm), therefore they'd be receiving more money because my payment would be received during their "after hours." Just bad people, bad vibes, with bad selfish intentions. If you're forced to walk through those doors, good luck and no need to bring any respect with you.

Before writing this review, I'd like to openly admit that I parked illegally, by accident at the Pointe. I was visiting my boyfriend, pretty much there EVERY DAY. My car got towed on a friday night probably around 2/3 AM. I noticed it. I didnt think it would be a big deal to call the next day. Called first thing in the morning only to find out they broke my car while towing it. They said something happened they must have hit a bump and the oil pan broke and all the oil came out everywhere. I had to go drop the keys off so they could run it and see what was wrong. At first, I was polite and expected them to fix it, which they did after 5 days. I had to miss work, walk to the grocery store, etc. I get a call that it is ready to be picked up, finally, and the lady tells me that they accept cash, check, visa mastercard and american express. Then she tells me that I still owe 150$ for the tow, 115$ for the tow itself and then 35$ for "storage fees" considering when i went to drop my keys off the first time, it was the only car in the unpaved, scummy lot. I argued with them and got no where, I even called the cops! I filed a civil suit against them and we will see what happens. That isnt even the best part though. I walk in there today and the woman is very polite and I try to understand why I still have to pay storage fees when I couldn't have even moved it in the first place? She had no answer, told me she was a dispatcher and if i wanted answers to call tomorrow between 9-5 when the owners were there. Meanwhile, this dirtbag in the back is making comments under his breath the entire time!!! Then she continues to tell me that specifically for only me that they will only take cash. ?!?!?!?!!?!? I asked her why, over and over and her only response was this is what it says im just doing my job. WTH?! Furious. Completely fed up! Discriminating a credit card? Really? Then my dad called and they hung up on him and wouldnt answer when he called back. This place sucks, and doesnt care about anything else about money. Ripping college students off for as much as they can get. Cross your fingers for me that they fixed the whole problem and nothing else got broken :(

Job description for being hired by John Tennis Towing:
Didn't finish high school, grades didn't quite cut it to get into community college ... fantastic opportunity to stick it to those that did. Spend your day driving around sneakily and steal whatever the government missed out of the pockets of people trying to better themselves. This towing company and their employees are not there to help anyone. That's great that they have helped people when they broke down and got them on there way. Wonderful ... pat yourself on the back and feel good that you made someones life a little easier. What I find ignorant and degrading about this company and their employees is how they lay in wait to stick it to people who don't deserve it. We were packing up the car in the parking lot of my daughters apartment and when we came down with the last load the car was jacked up and he was just about to pull out. He said you were here longer than 15 minutes which we were not. I would say maybe 10 minutes between loads. I said really ... you can't be a nice guy and give us a break. No it will cost you 65.00 for me to drop it. This guy actually sat somewhere and watched us go back in and started jacking it up. Now I can fully understand this happening when you've got a full campus but come on this was a week after finals and the town and parking lot of the apartment was a ghost town. Then I noticed damage and he called in backup to come and tell me that no way could that have been his doing. I tried to be civil while this was happening and I am trying to be civil now but you know what I'm sick and tired of being civil in a world full of liars, cheats and losers. This guys family must be so proud of him. Nope don't need a college education or even a high school education to do what these crooks do. How nice it must be to be able to take out your frustrations of having one of the crappiest jobs in the world by sticking it to the people who are trying to better themselves at a place you only you wish you could be a part of. I can't imagine what this guys day is like. How can you sleep at night knowing how many people you have scammed. And yes this was a scam. An empty parking lot and a car packed full of items. Yep you got us. We were loitering and had nothing better to do then take up a space for what 25 minutes in ghost town. What comes around goes around. There will be a special place in hell for people like you at John Tennis Towing. And John Tennis Towing ... we will meet again. I will be watching you. You better make damn sure it is 15 minutes of unattended time before you start jacking up someones car. With todays technology its not real hard for someone to be watching YOU and when YOU are caught lying you and the rest of the crooks in your company will make the local news. You have a good day and do what you do best which pretty much is just sticking it to people to line your pockets.

Don't believe that the employees and owners of this company are pretty much illiterate ... look above at the logo on their website. They list their hours as 23 1/2 and act like everyone is interested in what they do with that other 1/2 hour. DUH what a bunch of losers.

This place is corrupt. They towed my car from the Pointe parking lot for "not having a permit", even though it did, and in the correct part of the window. I even pointed this out, and they didn't care. I ended up paying over $300 for someone to steal my car. What a fantastic Thanksgiving.

All these people who are saying all this bad stuff about John Tennis Towing are just upset because they got there car towed for being stupid. This is a great company. Kathy is a nice woman when you aren't screaming in her face. So all you haters out there, don't park illegally and you will save a lot of time and money.

This is the worst towing company ever! Do not use this company for towing! They illegally tow cars and have been confronted and proven wrong on many occasions. Their rates are also higher than other towing companies in the area. I rate this company a big fat 0

John Tennis towing is the worst towing company in the history of towing companies and repair shops... There rates are un goddly high and the owners are worse than afghan terrorist and it is these types of people that are stealing from the people trying to make a decent living through hard work. There service from the customer service people to the owners and everyone in between should be all thrown in jail and never let out.

These people are great - we've broken down twice and had to get the car towed, and this is the company our roadside service uses. They're fast, friendly, and know what they're doing - they will tow something in the least expensive configuration when at all possible.

This is a top notch towing and repair service. They get a bad rap because they tow illegally parked college students at the request of the parking lot owners. Excellent people.

When our car battery conked out on us, we called John Tennis. They were fast, friendly, and did not make me feel stupid. I highly reccomend using them as a towing service. Very affordable.
