Just got back from Blue Rocks. I loved this campground. The bathrooms were cleaned twice daily. The pool was open and my 9 yrs. daughter enjoyed the pool and play ground. The campground is wonderful the hiking trials were great. There was no need to leave the campgrounds we stayed for four nights. The campers are very friendly everyone waves hi to you and conversate. The staff are friendly. My 14 yrs. daughter was able to complete both hiking trails. It's awsome when you reach the top of both trails, you reach the top of the mountain and there's a beautiful site. Everyone enjoyed their stay at blue rocks. I highly recommend this campsite!

I stayed here back in Sept. 2006. It just so happened that the weekend my brothers family and mine were to go camping there a monsoon hit the northeast. But that was something totally out of the hands of the campground.

I would not recommend bringing children under 8 years old to this campground. Most of the dirt roads through the campground are steep. And the entire campground is extreamly rocky. The facilities are HORRIBLE. Tent sites are impossible because you can't put spikes in the ground because of the rocky ground. They didn't have a pool and the play equipment was older than dirt.

The sites are secluded and spaced out pretty well. If you go camping with adult friends who like to hike and hangout then this is the place to go. Very picturesque.

I would not go back.

We stumbled on Blue Rocks Family Campground when we were looking for a cheap place to stay in the area. Little did we know what a gem we had until we were there. We had planned activities outside the campground for the entire weekend. We've since gone back to take advantage of what the campground itself offers. Not only do they have planned activities, there's the boulder field (blue.... hence the name) as well as access to the Appalachain Trail. I highly recommend repeated trips here.
