Horrible!! You are a number , not a patient. Had to fight to get my son a Rx for an MRI. Was lied to by a busy nurse who told me a request was put in to my insurance company for an approval code for the MRI. After multiple calls being told

I have tried three other pediatric practices in this area, and this is the best and final one. The proximity of the West Chester and Broomall offices is great, especially since they each have different weekend and evening hours---if one if closed, the other is often open. After hours, a doctor promptly returns phone calls rather than a triage nurse at a remote site. Most problems are dealt with rather than having the patient go to the emergency room. I have never been turned down for a sameday sick appointment. In fact, when I have thought the problem could wait a couple days, the nurse has insisted that I bring my child on the same day. The nurses are readily accessible and patient in answering questions over the phone. As a physician, I can vouch for the quality of the care---whether DO or MD, the doctors are all current and well-trained. As far as convenience, a sameday appointment is usually available within an hour of two of the phone call. The wait time in the outer room is, on the average, ten minutes. In the examining room, it is generally ten minutes, longer if the preceding patients were sick or complicated. The wait time for a physical or nonemergent appointment can be a few weeks, but this reflects the state of healthcare in Pennsylvania rather than a flaw in the practice.

I prefer to see medical doctors (MD's) instead of doctors in osteopathic medicine (DO's) because I have taught at medical schools and I am familiar with the training. I always requested my son to be seen by an MD because is my preference and I feel more comfortable, not because I have any problem with DO's. On my last visit there Dr. O stated that "if I don't like to be seen by DO's that I should consider leaving the practice". This was very unprofessional on her side. I really don't know what her issue is defending DO's so adamantly when she is an MD herself. Needless to say I am only returning to that office to pick up my son's record and me moved to a practice in Bryn Mawr that is highly rated. Dr. Ng was great but unfortunately he was difficult to find since he only goes to the Broomall office 1 day a week. The pro was the walk in hours in the morning. The cons is that you end up seeing a different doctor almost every time you go and some of them are not very professional.

I have not met a doctor in this practice that I dont like. What a great group of caring doctors. Dr. Feinman and Dr Becker are my favorites---precise and to the point! I dont want alot of what this could be answers I want to know what Im dealing with and these two pros always calm my fears! The nurses line is wonderful--- especially Barbara and Donna!! I dont know what I would have done without this group in my first years of parenting! Appts are always available for sick kids and rarely a wait in the office!!
thanks

I chose this practice because they will always fit you in if you need a last minute sick appointment. The nurses line I use all the time. Dr. O is by far the best in this practice because she takes time to listen and really check your kid. Pass on Dr. Bacchus, her attention is elsewhere.

After the mass exodus of doctors and pediatricians from Pennsylvania, I was devistated to find out that my original pediatrician would be one of the ones leaving. A friend recommended Dr. O'Mahony at Broomall pediatrics, and I'm so thankful that I took her recommendation! Dr. O is a caring, patient doctor who will take the time to listen and answer all questions, even if it means going over the alloted 20 minutes. Healthcare can be such a rush today. It's nice to see someone take the necessary time to ease a mom's mind.
