Avoid this place at all costs!!! To avoid the hostile owners!!!!
There is a sign under the doorbell ??Directions for guests only?!!!! That was the first hint!
Reservations were made for my family of 4. We frequent Lake Wallenpaupack, usually staying at our Aunts cabin. This trip we wanted a little something different for one night of our weekend stay. The Tuck Em Hotel seemed to have it Swimming!!!!! Last minute we were pleased to hear my nice would be joining us!!!! Upon registering and signing in the registration papers ask # of guests. I filled it out auto pilot - 4 (being the size of my family). WOW, was that a mistake. Just as we step in the room the (wife) owner was at the door (we didn??t even have a chance to close) with the registration paper in her hand, yelling at me, ??saying we have a problem?. I attempted to apologize and pay for the 5th person explaining I registered auto pilot. She would not stop talking (aka yelling, ranting, raving) over everything I tried to say. She said the only option was to purchase an additional room. Swimming wasn??t worth and additional $150.00, so my husband & I continued to try to get a word or two in between her belligerence?.. she just kept on ranting ??Leave! Your Not Welcome! You Lie!, what are you teaching your children?. We said we would keep the number of people to 4 (knowing one of us could go to our Aunt house). ?? NOPE! Leave, you are not welcome?. We are now joined by her compatible (irate) husband. Who chest bumped my husband. WHO DOES THAT!!!!! At this point, we just wanted a refund, minus our deposit (We thought that was fair). NOPE! The husband owner indigently says ??It??s a privilege to stay at their hotel and we are no longer welcome? We call the police, in hopes they can mediate and we get a refund. Its civil, so they can??t. (But our bank did help us with a fraudulent charge claim). The whole time this screaming match continued my poor nice is feeling she is the cause of this whole thing because she was the extra person. It states this is a ??family? run establishment, it more like a ??people hater? run establishment. So we leave??. On our way to our Aunts, we see Ehrhardts (right on the lake) they have a pool! We pull in. What an amazing experience. It did cost a little more ($40) But it is literally on the lake. They were so kind, they didn??t charge us for the children, gave us a 10% discount for the restaurant, had a very nice complementary breakfast, and gave us a complete listing of all the scheduled activities around the lake.

In the past, we have had multiple birthday parties at this motel for our three children. The children and their friends have always enjoyed it although the pool is about the size of a large bathtub. Upon booking my daughter's 10th birthday party, the older woman, I'll assume it's the mother of the owner, quoted me at $139 with a $100 deposit on a credit card and the balance was to be paid the day of the party in cash. My husband went to pick up a contract today and the price on the contract was $239 plus tax. I called to question the party fee because I had been given two very different amounts. I assumed the elderly woman had either accidentally misquoted or I misunderstood what she had said, however, with the additional tax, the balance was now $161.50. Upon questioning the owner (wife), she completely lost it, telling me that it was a "privilege to have a party in their pool area". I was questioning the amount of sales tax that was being charged on the party and she became incredibly rude and belligerent, telling me that she was canceling my daughter's party and keeping my $100 deposit because she was no longer allowing me to have a party there. After many attempts of trying to calm her down and explain that I wasn't complaining about the tax, I was just asking why it was so high, she hung up on me and I had to call back, thinking that we had lost connection, she admitted to hanging up on me! In the end, I ended up getting credited only $75 of my $100 deposit and they were the ones that canceled it! Why is it that a business that is so concerned about sales tax insists on the balance of a party ($161.50) be paid only in cash? It makes you wonder how much of their business is reported to the IRS... hmm. Truly, it saddens me that these once very nice people have become so bitter and clearly psychotic. After speaking to this woman, I had flashbacks of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. All in all, if you're considering this establishment for a child's birthday party... look further, the owners are unstable.

This place has it. The location is great, the rooms are newly renovated and clean and most of all the price is right. They just added an indoor pool to the place as well!

We have stayed is all the motels and hotels in the Lake Wallenpaupack area. We have now found the best. Our room was very clean and decorated so nicely. The indoor pool is awsome. Our two children had such a good time. The water was 90 is the middle of the winter. I know that we will never stay anywhere else when we are in the area. Great job remodeling!!!!!

This would be an OK motel to stay at out of necessity but not if you want to have a fun vacation. The prices average $75 a night, and the location is relatively convenient. The motel is just not visually appealing and I wouldn't recommend staying here, when for just a little more you could stay in a hotel within a view and walk of Lake Wallenpaupack. There is nothing located within easy walking distance of this motel. The parking is OK though because they have a decent sized lot. If you were looking for something romantic, I definately wouldn't recommend staying here.

This motel is pretty close to the lake and tourist attractions in the area but it isn't very appealing. It is a one level motel. The rooms are pretty small and scarce. They are clean and the hotel itself isn't in too bad of shape. It just isn't a special place to stay in if you are on a vacation. In the winter they run a lot of "Hunter's specials" where you can get a room for around $50 a night, which is pretty cheap. The parking is decent. You could probably walk to the lake from here, but since some of the walking would be along busy Route 6, this wouldn't be recommended.
