Pittsburgh DancExplosion

My daughters, age 6 and 3, take classes at Pittsburgh DancExplosion. PDE offers a wide variety of dance--ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, musical theater, and more. The classes and dance material are age-appropriate, and the instructors strike the right balance of structure and fun. My girls love going to class and have never once said that they did not want to go.

The studio is extremely well-organized, and the communication between the staff and parents with regard to scheduling, fees, recitals, etc. is first-rate. All students are given several public performance opportunities throughout the year. The older, more experienced students are inspiring to watch, and the end-of-year recital is a professional production that I am impressed with more each year.

I feel that the fees for tuition, costumes, and the recital are very reasonable, and comparable to other dance studios. We have always felt welcome at PDE and hope to continue with the studio for as long as either or both of the girls wish to dance.

If you live in the North Hills, and your child of any age has expressed an interest in dance, I highly recommend Pittsburgh DanceExplosion.

My daughter has been dancing at PDE for three years. She absolutely loves her classes and her teachers. The facility is extremely well kept and has appropriate flooring for all types of dance offered at the studio. The classes offered cover a wide range of interests from ballet to hip hop, with classes for all age groups, including adults. The studio teachers are knowledgeable and professional and all kids really seem to enjoy their classes, with the older kids helping with the younger classes. There are no prima donnas or stage mothers at this studio. The routines that my daughter has performed, at each year's two annual recitals plus community presentations, are fun and varied from year to year, with absolutely adorable costumes. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to have fun and is serious about their dance.
