Saturn Club

I have hair on the longer side, it is really wavy to curly, and I'm a natural blonde but have my hair dyed 2 brunette shades (light top, dark bottom). First, I have a hard time trusting people, but I was told Alice is the best with color. She suggests suttle changes that really affect a look and she suggests what type of color treatment to use. This is just the tip of her haircare knowledge. Then she goes on to the cut. Just recently I went in to have my hair colored and cut, when it came time to the cut, I litererally picked up a magazine and said, that's cool....let's try that! She said, it won't look just like that, but let's do it. She gave me the same style but made it look amazing just for me! I was so impressed that I could just whimsically ask her to do a style and she jumped right on it and made it look awesome! THEN Alice goes on to stlye your hair, which I just love!
So in summary of service, Alice is amazing with color, cut and styling! Many upscale salons shift you around to their "color specialist" then someone else etc., but not at Saturn Club! Also, I can't tell you how nice it is to have people tell me how nice my hair looks! I mean....my boyfriend ALWAYS notices!
Second, the staff there is incredibly friendly! Everyone says hello, everyone talks to you and so on. In terms of Alice, she always has something to say, asks how you are, and remembers things from your previous visit with her. I just love that because it makes me feel more comfortable having her cut my hair because if she can remember my personal life, she can certainly remember how I like my hair done.
Last, the Saturn Club is great because they can get you in fast for an appointment (even color) and their prices are very! reasonable. I have 2 colors in my hair, cut, and style all for only $80 and I made my appointment 2 days in advance! At this place I feel comfortable and know I'm getting an upscale cut for fast and great prices! Never left dissatisfied or in a bad mood!

I can't speak about any other stylist there, but Maria Y is the best. She takes her time and really listens to what you want. I've been going to her for years- she has never given me a bad cut or color. It's worth the drive for her.

I went to the Saturn Club for a haircut after reading all the positive reviews. This was a bad idea - the cut is the worst one I've had in over 10 years.

It is WAY too short. The stylist would have kept cutting if I hadn't told her to stop. Twice. Ugh.

Saturn club is a great place to get a haircut in University City, especially if you are on a budget. They give good consistent cuts, and cut as you request.

Saturn caters to the college and grad students (and some professors too) in the area, with decent prices to match (when I went, it was about $30). I switched back to the person who had been cutting my hair before, but I have some friends who would only go to Saturn because they had someone they really liked. Ask around for a recommendation of who's good. I think they also provide other services like waxing.
