What can I say beyond Lindsay rocks my socks off! She is the most skilled person to ever lay a sheer on my head and can make me blonde faster than anyone! I went in not really knowing what I wanted and came out with a cut/color I love. Lindsay was super helpful throughout and asked me for my thoughts the whole way through the haircut. She was also very attentive and conversational.
Overall, Calista Grand carries a great environment with friendly people and excellent service. I couldn't be happier with my experience!

I looked around for a long time before I found a salon I love in the area. I have issues with allergies and the staff went out of their way to do patch tests and are very careful when trying new products on my hair.

I am very happy with my stylist, Mia. Love the cut and color she gives me. I also like the fact that she constantly adjusts depending on how my hair is holding the color, time of year, etc. I would highly recommend the Mia and Calista Grand.

I would give this business a one star (unsatisfactory) based on today's experience. Today's visit was such a major disappointment. When scheduling the appointment, I was very specific about my needs: color, style and make up for a photo shoot. [Taking a photo for a business website.] The originally scheduled make up stylist had car trouble so I was asked if I would like a substitute. I was fine with that and both the hairstylist and make up artist were personable and pleasant. I thought everything was fine until I went outside in the natural light. While leaving and looking in the rear view mirror of my car, I noticed a dull blackish / grey spot at the top of my forehead, at my hairline. There was hair dye right in the middle of my forehead. As the photographer was pricey and all lined up, I went ahead with the appointment for the photo shoot. (The forehead will be airbrushed and I now will have dozens of photos of me with a dull grey forehead. Lovely!) Driving to the photographer, I called the salon and was told by an employee to "Try Windex." Reminded me of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". The problem with the salon is that the hairstylist delegates the shampooing and the conditioning, etc. to an assistant. The assistant today was pulled in too many directions. For a good salon, I want one person to be
responsible. If the lead stylist needs help, then she needs to supervise properly to ensure a professional, positive end result. The make up "artist" did not ask me to wash my face and she obviously did not see the forehead dye in the lighting. Unfortunately, as I didn't have my glasses on, I only noticed it when it was too late. Perhaps the owner will call as the receptionist said he would. After an experience like this (costing $150 plus $30 tip plus purchase of products), what would make me want to return? What can the owner of Calista possibly say to me now that would convince me to patronize his salon as opposed to Avante or Currie?

After reading about this salon, and hearing good things, I tried it for a color, conditioning treatment and blowdry. To my disappointment, I was given way too many highlights ( when I really wanted lowlights since I am blonde and wanted to go darker. The stylist assured me highlights would give me the same effect. I was given much too many highlights and ended up with a color that did not flatter my skintone. Additionally, the blowdry consisted of hair flying in ever direction - not the "styled" blowdry I expect , or can do on my own. I will never go back. I didn't call the salon, because I know they have the same stylist "fix" the hair and I would never let the stylist touch my hair again. Make sure you know what stylist you get before you make an appointment - while I am sure some are good, not all of them are.

Love it! Finally, I found my salon..My stylis - Robin cut my hair and it is gorgeous. My esthetician -Yajaira is wonderful..I've already been there for facials, couple massage, waxing and hair cut...
I moved to the West Chester area 2 years ago and tried all the most expensive places around. I was so unhappy with the service, quality of work...I am OK with paying a little more for the service I get.

I went to Calista Grand Salon for about two years for a cut and foil. Every time I went, I felt completely pampered. You are greeted by a relaxing two story fountain. The prices seem to be a little bit higher then average.

I've been going to Calista for eleven years now, first for just cuts, and now I also get foils (highlights) done there. I've also had waxing, makeup, massage, and consultation appointments there. Every staff member is very dedicated to their profession, and they never stop learning their trade. Staff members do things like travel to Europe to learn new skills, and then come back and do sessions to teach the rest of the staff.

It's a great place to be pampered, as your stylist or his/her assistant will fetch you a glass of wine or some veggies and dip at your request. Each cut comes with a complimentary shoulder and scalp massage, which is really wonderful.

When I started going there, I was paying $45 for a cut. Now I'm paying nearly twice that, as my stylist has been promoted several times, causing her rates to increase. But she does a fantastic job, and especially when it comes to coloring, I really don't trust anyone else with my hair.

So if your budget can handle it, this is a great place for your regular cut, or just to splurge for a special occasion. You will be pampered and look fantastic, guaranteed.

I go to Calista's all the time for my hair cuts and color, updos, and eyebrow waxing. I also go there occassionaly for manicures and pedicures. For the past four or five years I have gone there, I have never left there unhappy. I have the best stylist and waxist ever and the atmosphere is awesome. Depending on what you have done, it can be a bit pricey (I'm a college student) but it is very worth it. My only complaint is that I have grown too attached to my stylists and have to wait for my breaks from school to come home to get my hair done!

I have been to Calista for both massages and pedicures and have consistantly been pleased with the level of service I have received.
