This place is always crowded and packed, but I am not a big fan. It is located in the mess of South Street, and its is just average bay and cheap restaurant food. I took my parents and we didn't think it was anything special.

Food portions were very small, and I'm a small person. Extremely small portions not worth the price. The food was ok nothing to crave.

Wonderful place to meet friends, or family for a Great local brew (support Local) and Dinner! The menu is excellent with many selections on the veggie and non-veggie tip. The duck tacos are fantastic, the hummus trio is to die for and the chicken sandwich is one of my personal favorites. Oh did I mention the JerkK Chicken? muy bueno.

I just experienced their lunch menu for the first time and was highly impressed by the simple but tasty food. I had the grill cheese & tomato soup which was wonderful. The service was fast and friendly which makes having lunch out essential. They just starting serving breakfast so I shall have to try that sometime soon!

I have been to Bridget Foy's several times and just recently the privately owned restaurant has changed it's look to fit the style of a hip but welcoming dinning spot - check it out, you will not regret it!

Pros: The food and atmosphere

First let me say this: I am not one of these people who likes to write negative reviews of everything. Take what I say as the unexagerated truth.

I went to Foy's with my parents and lady for brunch on Sunday. The server was not very friendly, but whatever, he's working a crappy shift. Atmosphere was nice.

I ordered the crab/corn chowder and the Eggs Benedict with Filet Mignon, medium rare.

After what seemed like an eternity, I asked if my soup would be preceding my entree this morning, and it was finally delivered. The soup was good.

When my Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict arrived, I quickly realized 3 things: 1. This was not, in fact, "Filet Mignon" but a disappointingly bland cut of meat Thin, rubbery, and overcooked, which leads me to 2., it was not cooked medium rare, but very well done. And 3., the poached eggs were undercooked, the whites were runny and clear.

The most irritating thing was that they were misrepresenting the steak as filet mignon. I said something and it was taken off the bill. Everyone else enjoyed their meals.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Food was disappointing.

What a lovely restaurant! The food is American comfort with a nice, upscale twist. It had the feel of a really comfortable diner yet the food was more than standard fare. The beer and wine selection was also pleasantly eclectic. While I'd like to think that our server was particularly pleasant, I could easily overhear the waiters at the other tables being equally as nice. My only disappointment was the bread pudding, it was a bit gummy, but that may have been the night I ordered it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I know I'll be coming back- I have to give their marvelous desert tray another shot.

Cons: a bit loud

Fun place, had dinner there this weekend with a group of friends. Shared a couple of apps, potstickers and jambalaya cakes were great. Loved the braised short ribs. Also, nice selections of beers. Didn?t get dessert but they looked homemade.

I ordered a burger medium rare, but it was welldone and burnt. Food is ok nothing special. I don't think it's worth the price. It's a nice place. I like the seating outside. I just dont like the food or the drinks there. Cocktails test like juice.

Would not recommend this place for restaurant week at all. Ordered the fillet mignon and asked for it to come out medium rare. When the steak arrived it was not 8 oz like advertised and looked like a steak someone went to acme and bought the cheap fillets to give out. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant mash and I've never been to restaurant that puts gravy on top a fine meat such as fillet. When asking the waiter about a certain drink on there menu he responded with it s*cks i wouldn't order that not at all knowing my girlfriends taste in drinks. I would not go back and would not recommend this place for the restaurant week plenty of better places you can go for that money.

bridget foys offers a great crowd, great food, great atmosphere, and above all GREAT DRINKS !
the staff and owners at foys are delightful. fun, courteous, and what keeps me coming back, in addition to the menu.
The chef's turn out a great meal everytime. whether it be the best burger in the city. delicious entrees,
potstickers to die for, or a mouth watering brunch menu. the menu changes slightly with the seasons too, and the open air seating in the spring and summer months is delightful.

do yourself a favor. go to bridget foys. and if bernadette is there, ask her make you a margarita
all around, a great place to go for any occasion !

Bridget Foy is a South Street institution. Great food--especially the boubon salmon, which you can only get in the summer--but worth the wait!

The food is excellent and offers seasonal menu items. The beers that are on tap are all local and match-up well with the restaurants eclectic menu. The wait staff is great, a fine group of people who will take very good care of you, extremely attentive. The bartenders Dawn, Patty, Nick, Nina, and Renee know how to mix a drink and keep you happy. The owners and managers will try to make you feel like you are at home and part of the family. I go for the atmosphere and the regulars, it is a great place to bring friends when they come to town, it is family friendly place or great for a late night meal. Sunday Brunch is the best on South Street. Hope to see you there.

Pros: Food, People and Service

These are the best crab cakes outside of Baltimore. The cakes are filled with fresh crabs and are so juicy and succulent. They also have great american dishes. The salads are fresh and dressed well. The appetizers are good and the seafood is cooked on the grill. The bar is also well stocked and have various beers on tap.

Bridget FOYS South St Grill is a really nice place to eat. They offer a wide range of interesting salads and appetizers, as well as entrees and American bistro dishes. I really love their crab cakes and crab dip appetizer. The service is really excellent. This is a nice restaurant to have a private party, and they also offer catering.

I absolutely love Bridget's.....The bartenders (namely Nick and Carmel) are awesome!! My girlfriends and I go there all the time. The drinks are perfect, the service is superb and I love the menu. The cheesesteak is the best I've ever had. Lots of space upstairs for dinner parties. Don't be surprised to see the owner walk through and greet the guests. His daughter (Bridget) works there too (use to) and she's really nice as well. I spent New Years there and it was the best New Years I've had in a while! Bridget Foy's is by far my favorite bar!!!!!

It's strange to have such a fabulous experience at a restaurant in South Street. Not that I hadn't heard great things about Bridget Foy's South Street Grill beforehand (many people have talked about its new renovations and excellent, contemporary American fare), it was just that i wasn't expected to enjoy it quite as much as i did.
I began with classic chicken quesadillas with a spicy, chunky salsa that added punch to the appetizer. Next, classic hamburger that satisfies. Cooked medium-well with precisely the right amount of flavor. Dessert consisted of a creme brulee and cocktail. The cocktails (Ranging from classic martinis to originals like the bridgetini) highlight the dishes.
Attentive service and friendly owners, the restaurant's ambience also adds to the experience. New renovations have given the place a new edge. Whimsical light fixtures along with some hip chairs make dining seem lighthearted yet with a dash of romance.

I had brunch last Sunday at Bridget Foy's, and was pleased by both the service and the food. It was nice to be out on the deck enjoying the great weather! Our server was friendly and helpful and recommended some good dishes for us to try. Plus, I really enjoyed the Make-your-own Bloody Mary's. I will definitely make this friendly neighborhood cafe my new summer hang-out!

I was disappointed that my french toast was made without egg, and the fruit on the side was old and semi-spoiled, but otherwise the food was ok. others in my group were not very impressed. this semi-decent meal, however, was ruined by the service. I don't know if it was because we were the only group on the second floor, but the service was poor. it was slow, the coffee and waters were not refilled at all, the bread was requested twice before the meal but wasn't brought out til the meal was half over, and no apology was given for two mistakes made on the part of the server, nor for her callous attitude. I was not at all impressed with this restaurant and I won't go back there. (to their credit, the manager was really nice and they didn't make us pay for the botched meal.)

The food was okay, but not fresh and a bit bland. The service was the worst I've ever experienced in any restaurant. Water was never refilled, bread was never given until we were nearly done with the meal, and orders were confused. Our waitress worked at a snail's pace. An okay place to eat if you have a lot of time to kill and have enough patience for awful service.

We have been regulars for several years. The food is uneven - sometimes outstanding, sometimes disappointing. But for outdoor dining, there is no better seat in the city, except maybe Katmandu and Rock Lobster. But when Bridget Foy's food is good, it is way beyond what the river places have to offer. Nice relaxed, casual environment, interesting art, interesting bar.

For those of you looking for a change from the lines and crowds of Old City, I recommend stopping into B. Foy's on South Street---the staff is friendly, the new drinks are fabulous and the DJ's on Thurs/Fri/Sat nights from Cue Records create a chill atmosphere for a mixed crowd. The outside seating is great for people watching on South Street -- For a great summer drink, try Tara's Mai tai!
