My family took me to FIre Mountain for Mother's Day. I asked the cashier why the price was $10.99 when the sign says that on Sundays the price is $10.19 and she said because it is Mother's Day and I said what makes the difference if it is Mother's day or not and she said well, they were having meat carvers today and I said anytime I have been here they have meat carvers. What's the deal?
I didn't see anything different today at the food bars then I see any other time I was there. I even asked the guy that was carving meat if he was getting paid more today. We were handed our glasses for our water to carry to our table. We stood there waiting to be seated and the lady said oh you just sit anywhere you want.
We went and sat down, When I told the waitress that we needed silverware she said oh, you have to go over there and get it yourself. My daughter asked for another refill on her coke and never did get it. When the waitress came around to take my empty plate I said I was just going to ask where the kitchen was and I would take my own dishes out. She said it is around the corner, I don't think she was happy with me but then I wasn't happy either. Charging more just because it was mother's day and mothers didn't get anything special. We did not leave a tip. If Fire Mountain can up their price for Mother's Day and any other Holiday then they can afford to pay their help more on those special days.
When I have to get my own silverware, carry my water glass to my table, pretty much do everything myself then I don't leave a tip.
The food was okay, my daughter asked for a piece of well done steak and he gave her a piece that was very very pink inside and with her health problems she can not eat raw meat. They show you the meat before putting it on your plate but you couldn't see through the glass to see what it looked like. I went back and said I want a piece of well done steak, you gave my daughter a piece that was not well done. I don't believe our family will be returning to FIre Mountain in the near future. Raise the price and cut back on the service. What a way to destroy a business. The really only reason we went to FIre Mountain is because we were given a gift certificate to cover a small amount of our bill, other wise we would probably have gone somewhere else to eat. They up the price by .80 cents so you take that times the amount of people that went through there today and their profits should be shooting out the roof.

I was a former server at Fire Mountain in Indiana, Pa. The food is okay, but the restaurant is very dirty, the managers treat the employees like dogs, and they have you work when it is convenient for them like on super bowl and then fire you the next day, when they no longer need you. I would never suggest finding employment with FIRE MOUNTAIN in Indiana, PA. I also believe that the managers need some kind of training to treat all employees equally. Instead they talk to the other employees about the ones they dont like and laugh at and pick on their own employees, which they like to call a family. I am not dissing the food there because it is okay, i think that the food administration needs to do a thorough inspection randomly to maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant. and I love RYANS Buffet, so i am not criticizing the franchise itself, just Fire Mountain in Indiana, PA.

We ate at the restaurant when it opened the dinning room was unbearably cold. We asked if the ac was on, the waitress stated that she told the manager, and the manager stated that she has the heat on. We requested the manager, and got no result. We called the No. on the table that said we would like to hear from you to complain. We asked again for the manager finally she came to our table with a attitude said I'm cold to the thermostat is somewhere else and she called that's all I can do. We can move you if you'd like., We would have except we watched four people walk out with out leaving the waitresses a tip. We stayed for our waitress wasn't her fault. We also think the company should compensate the waitresses. If there tips are going away because of a poor heated environment. The food was also cold how do you have cold food when you first open your doors? We payed as did everyone else for our dinner as soon as we walked in had I not payed. I would payed for a drink, and left. We probably will never go back to that restaurant, and the management stinks.

I was so excited to find a fire mountain while we were visiting our daughter in pa. But sorry now that we went there. The food was horrible, the service wasn't good either, We went for breakfast, and ask for fresh eggs, and was told no. The pancakes were dry and the food looked like it had been on the servers since early. We wasted our money. My grandson had a few strips of bacon and I tried to eat a biscuit but that was dry too. DO NOT GO THERE. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The fire mountain we had went to in NC was so good. I think the manager needs retrained on how long to leave food out and training his wait staff. They just grouped in the other room doing NOTHING!

The customer service is quite fine. But the selection of food is very minimal. The place is quite small, with very little room to move around. I wouldn't recommend this to any one. It's not worth the money, time, or gas you'll waste coming to this place.

We have had wonderful service at Fire Mountain. The food is outstanding, the waitress's & waiters are great. Jeremy is the best manager that you could find anywhere. We have enjoyed eating there. It is a shame we had to move as we miss it very much. They met out expectations far above what would be considered to be expected. The food was kept clean and neat and very eatable. The restaurant was clean. We appreciate it every chance we get to dine there, whether it be at lunch or dinner.

We celebrated my in laws 50th wedding anniversary this past weekend at Fire Mountain. What a huge let down and waste of time, money and gas to get there.

First let me start by telling you that I was on crutches. The place packs you in like sardines in a can. There is no room to move. Food was all over the floor within the buffet area and I lost control of my crutches many times.

It was a complete free for all. People bumping into each other, stepping in front of one another and food constantly dropping off of plates.

The food itself was absolutely disgusting. I ate very little. The only thing that I thought was edible was the roasted chicken. Food temperatures were luke warm. nothing was hot. The dessert bar was a complete shame. You call that dessert? I call it unfit for a pet!

The service was pretty much NON EXISTENT! Drink refills were brought o the table in glasses with no ice.

Most of the plates that I encountered were filthy with food stuck and dried to them.

The overall condition of the restaurant was not to my sanitary expectation. The womens restroom was absolutely filthy. The floors in the corners looked as though they had not been cleaned in months. Toilets were filthy and the restroom had a stench of an odor.

Overall dining experience was pathetic! I've had better food, service and ambiance in really bad truck stops.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

I will be sending a letter to their local inspector.

We love coming here during the evenings for all-you-can-eat steak. Many times, there is all-you-can-eat fried shrimp too. The restaurant is a national chain and offers great lunchtime deals, but are a little pricey for evening meals. Still it's a great deal considering the abundance of hot & cold foods and desserts. Sometimes the wait staff is lax on refilling drinks, but they are always nearby & keeping busy.

We drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. I heard the food was so good. I didn't eat all day. We got there at supper time. There was absolutely no structure. It was like being in 3rd grade with a substitute teacher. People were passing and reaching in front of me. Nobody started at the front of the line and worked there way down. That p***ed me off! So I made it through the line and got to my table. I could not wait to try this GREAT food. Well let me tell you... IT SUCKED! Most of it was not even what I would call warm. It was not anything great at all. I had to ask for a refill. Well after eaing supper I hit the desssert bar. Once again,it was a free for all. I found nothing great or even good on the dessert bar. My husband did like the chicken. But other than that, we were not impressed, nor would we ever drive out of our way to eat there again. If you want to try a good buffet, go to Plylers in Brookville. It is just off of I 80.

We ate at Fire Mountain exactly once. Our waitress seemed to forget about us and we had to ask for drink refills several times before getting them. The buffet food was pretty good, but we think there are better buffet choices in Indiana.

This is the third buffet style resturant to come to Indiana, but by far the best. There's always a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and if you stop in on a Friday or Saturday, all you can eat steak! Servers are very friendly and stop by regularly to check up and refill drinks. Another helpful feature is that they identify Carb-friendly foods with red handles so those dieters can find safe foods quickly. And for those not dieting, the dessert bar is delicious!
