I am so disgusted with these guys!!! this was my worst experience ever! these guys are just looking for the ways to rip you off!!
We were planning a wedding at Camelback Ski Resort, Tannersville, PA.
The wedding coordinator, Mary Bianco, was giving us all sorts of false information for 2 months. She is completely unprofessional. Instead of asking for 2-3 k for the reception, food and beverages, like we were told before, they asked for 13k in the final proposal!!! Here's some examples of how they violated the initial agreement:
          tent rental 6k instead of $250, as promised;
we were told, there's no location fee, although THERE IS ONE!
we were told, they would provide us with chairs, tables and dance floor although THEY DIDN'T!
dinner: $50 per person instead of 45, as listed on their website.
AND MANY MANY MANY MORE examples!!!

          Pros: nice nature

          Cons: terrible service

          .

Mediocre resort, the crowds were absurd, (the line for rentals was about 2.5 hours) and by the time we got rentals, they were out of certain sizes of skis and were making substitutions or asking people to wait fo returns.

The trails, arguably the best part of the resort, only suit intermediate to advanced skiers. Their beginner trails are poorly marked, few and far between, and overly crowded. The advanced trails are too easy for those accustomed to skiing in Colorado.

Service wise, the staff is a bit lazy, uninformed, and sometimes downright rude. There were multiple instances of being brushed aside when requesting help and multiple instances of staff members standing idly by while lines formed out the door.

And suffice to say, the price that they charge is definitely not worth the experience you get. The food, which is understandably overpriced, was not fresh and caused a member of our party to get two days worth of stomach troubles from the cafeteria food. .

In conclusion, avoid at all costs unless you really have no other choice. Skiing in Colorado,
New York, and even Vermont are likely better

Throughout my three visits to Camelback Ski Area, I have realized how great a place it truly is. The prices are affordable, and the snow is pretty good.

Camelback also taught me how to ski, and they got me off to a good start. During the lesson, I wasn't doing so well. Afterwards, an instructor stayed behind with those in the group who were like me. He showed us what we were doing wrong, and after that i felt much more confident in myself.

Took my 5 year old here and she had a blast. There's a great kiddie play area and the staff is very good at keeping the older, rowdier kids out of the area. The rest rooms and changing areas were very clean. The water was extremely clean and comfortable. On the day we went it wasn't crowded at all (probably because there was a 60% chance of rain!). Lots to do for people of all ages. Food and lockers were conveniently located. I didn't find the food too outrageously expensive for an amusement park.

          PROS: Activities for all ages
          CONS:

Camelback is one of my favorite ski areas in the Pocono Mountains. For one, it is nearby to both Philadelphia and New York City. (about two hours) Camelback is one of the nearest Pocono resorts. Secondly, it is quite affordable. You don't have to blow a fortune to get here. And, once you're here, there's lots to do. I brought my kids and spouse here for the snowtubing, which was nicely done overall. The snow machines were in full force, and it felt like we were in the midst of a storm! They made so much snow! We loved it, but felt that it could have been better: the lines were catastrophic; we waited for a good twenty minutes just to go up the motorized tube lift and come down, freezing the whole time. However, it was so much fun! Even small children will enjoy this. I must warn you though: dress warmly, and remember: the lift up can feel scary but it's okay. You'll be fine.

This a very nice resort in both summer and winter. In the summer time there is a water park and fire works. In the winter there is some of the best skiing in the Poconos. I would reccomend this place for more seasoned skiers because it can get very crowded and might be overwhelming for newer skiers. Try to go in the evenings mid-week for the best prices. If you go on the weekends get there early if you will be renting equiptment. It may take a while to get through he lines.

If kids like water parks than they will love this place. This waterpark is pretty impressive considering that it is in the Poconos and not too well known. There are tons of slides and a large wave pool. Compared to other water parks I've seen, this one is well cared for. I wouldn't be afraid to step into any of the pools or the slides. There are also lots of places to eat, but it is mostly fast food. The entry price here is around $30 a person, but discount coupons are generally easy to find, especially through local employers.

Camelback ski slope is a large ski area. This is one of my favorite places to ski. It has a lot of runs and a nice large lodge. The only thing about Camelback is that it can get really crowded on the weekends so you want to get there early to get good parking and get some of teh first runs in. They have rental equipement available and lessons also.

Camelback turns into Camelbeach for the summer with mega water slides, rivers, and tubes. It is so much fun for a hot day.
You can have a full day of fun for a decent price. There is also a picnic area to enjoy your brought from home lunch.
Lines can be long but they do move quickly!
