With Regard to the other Reviewer I TOTALLY disagree with his Assessment . Yes, it is a Working Man's Bar , However........... On the Weekends especially it's a great place to hang out. No, There isn't a large Menu but what is served there is usually good and freshly prepared. As far as the " dirty " comment goes I say WRONG! The place is quite clean and well cared for by the Owner. He consistently gets one of the best Inspection ratings in Bucks County by the Board of Health after routine random Inspections. Not exactly what I'd call dirty. As far as the Patrons go during the week it's mostly a Bar with it's regulars and it can feel a bit Gruff at times. BUT!!! The REAL time to there on Fri. and Sat. nights. It's a very fun place to go to. They almost always have some type of entertainment usually either a Live Band or their "in-house" DJ..DJ Kenn. The owner Dan takes time to talk to everyone and try to make sure everyone is comfortable. It's like partying with Ricardo Maltoban as the Host ("Smiles Everyone"). I've been going there on and off for a long time and over the years it's turned from a "Biker Bar" to a place where respect begets respect and all are treated fairly. The Staff interaction can be entertaining sometimes too.So,..if you want a Steak Dinner with candles and stuff no it's not your place. But if after that Meal you want to grab a few drinks let down you're hair and Dance and Laugh with your friends then this is where you'll want to end up at. A hidden Jewel for a good night out on the Weekends. They've even had a few On-Air mentions on Philadelphia's Preston and Steve Show on WMMR.

I had a great time on a Sat. night at "The Eagle" with my friends. We had a great time. The Staff was funny and everyone in the place seemed to be having a GREAT time. They had a DJ that night and the variety of music was pretty good. When the dance music came around it seemed to make almost everyone quite Frisky. We really enjoyed ourselves. We've been going there on and off since. Give it a shot.

Pros: Lively Atmosphere

Cons: a little dark at night sometimes.

Unlike the person who wrote the above review I have to say I disagree. It's true that it is a Working man's bar but.....As far as the cleanllyness goes it is one of the few establishments that gets a near perfect evaluation score from the BOARD of HEALTH!!! Not exactly something a "dirty place" receives. Also there is not a large menu but what they do serve is usually quite good and is always freshly prepared. During the day and during the week it can be a little gruff, but it's a working man's bar.The REAL time to go there is on Friday and Saturday nights. Pros: Great,Comfortable way to spend weekend nights.

Cons: People who expect it to be a place like Mc Cooles

If you just want a six pack to go, go right ahead. But if you're looking for a decent night out with the wife or husband, forget it. This is a locals bar and they let you know it when you go in there. The place is dirty, the people are gruff, and the selection adequate only.
