My department had a post holiday get together here today. Approximately 50 people attended, and a reservation was made well in advance. First problem, the room we were in had NO HEAT, and it was approximately 20 degrees outside. The temperature in the room was around 50, way too cold to enjoy eating or socializing. The table was super wobbly. My husband rigged something up under one the legs to steady it. The coffee was luke warm. I drank tea, and when I was asked if I wanted a second cup the waitress asked me if I wanted a new tea bag. No, that's, ok. I'll just reuse my old one that's sitting in the ash tray. Next issue, the food. We paid $20 p/p, and it included beverages and tip. The buffet was laid out on the bar. The serving plates were ice cold. There was scrambled eggs, bacon (both edible), cold sausage links, french toast that the crust was so hard you needed a serrated knife to cut it and some potatoes. Around the corner was a loaf of white bread and some bagels that you could toast yourself. Can I tell you the toaster took FOREVER. There was some seafood out which did not appeal to me at 10:00 a.m. Also a dried out pork roast and ham under a heat lamp that you were supposed to slice yourself. And the desserts on the other part of the bar that looked like they were brought in to a pot luck supper. (Wait a minute, I'm insulting pot luck suppers.) By the time you got back to the table everything was ice cold due to the cold conditions of the restaurant. The owner did bring in some portable heaters, but it was way too little way to late to make any difference. Friends used the bathroom, of which only one stall was usable. I will NEVER go back there again!

Why avoid this place? Let me count the ways:
1. Smell of mold as soon as you walk in the door
2. Filthy windows and mirrors in the front entry way.
3. Scum and mold on the so-called fish tank that may have housed lobsters at one time.
4. The wait staff all sitting at the bar, watching TV as we wait 2 minutes at the hostess' desk before someone noticed us.

And that's before we were even seated! It gets better.
6. We asked for a table outside on what they call a patio -- a cramped little courtyard choked with weeds coming up through the bricks.
7. Seated at a cheap plastic table with even cheaper chairs.
8. Flyspecked and dirty menus just tossed on the table.
9. Filthy salt and pepper shakers on the table.
By this time we knew we just had to leave -- or risk food poisoning. So we tried to exit the patio back through the restaurant when..
10. The door outside was broken and had to be jarred off its hinges to let us back in.

We're neighbors of this restaurant on Bridgetown Pike. Used to eat here every other month until 2 years ago because of some of the problems mentioned -- dirty floors and tables, very poor wait staff. Decided to try it one more time a few weekends ago. And this was a blow-by-blow account of our short 10 minute stay.

What's even more laughable is the banners out front, proclaiming this to be a 'Best in Bucks County' restraurant. If this was the best, I would shudder to think who was #2.

My hope is that these restaurant owners go out of business....and someone else goes in and guts the place.

Although located on a picturesc stream, the building is unapealing from the outside. They say their crab cakes are the best; however I disagree with that statement.
