Well done! We can't say enough about this Selinsgrove gem! Great beer (we did the tasting of all they had on tap) and then went with our favorites for our pints. None were disappointing, which is unusual for our beer-loving group! Great ambiance, service and food. Such a delight to spend time and money at a place that 'gets' what customers are looking for and does it with style. This is the best place to get lunch or dinner in Selinsgrove...hands down!!!!!

Fantastic beer, great service and cozy atmosphere.

The variety and quality of beer set the standard for local micro-breweries. Actually, they set the standard for all micro-breweries. RateBeer.com has them among the Top 100 Brewers in the world going against heavyweights like Victory and Troegs. Their fruit beer is not my style, but they have two of the Top 10 Best Fruit Beers in the World with the The Phoenix Kriek and Saison de Peche according to ratebeer.com (Rodney S. should stick to Miller Lite). The Scottish is my favorite, followed closely by the IPA. Both are bold, hoppy and memorable. For a change of pace, I go with the Dunkleweizen which is crisp and has hints of clove and banana. If you have someone in your party who is less adventerous, the Captain Selin Ale is very drinkable and not overpowering at all. Be careful, some of the beers have very high alcohol content.

The food and service are surprisingly good. The kitchen is tiny but manages to put out great pub fare like pretzel sandwiches and a great vegetarian chili (Even I loved it!) The specials are creative and usually offer some tie-in to the season. The price is moderate and a value compared to the quality. A growler refill is around $18 depending on what kind of beer you're getting. They have some very cool fancy-schmancy growlers if you want to own something more than the standard one.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to hang out, have some great beers and BS with friends.

I think the pub is a great place to relax, have a brew and enjoy the company of friends without televisions as a distraction. Have been going there many years and it has always been a treat. I would tell anyone interested in good food, beer, and wine to give it a try--it's fun!!

First off $27 for a growler refill is absolutely ridiculous. The Raspberry Ale is way too sweet and overbearing. It tastes more like a syrup than a beer. In fact it is not recognizable as a beer. Hint: a fruit beer should taste like beer with a hint of fruit, not like a sweet syrup. Tone it down a little, sweetness and price.

During a visit to Central PA, we had the good fortune to stop in here for dinner. The menu and beer list were terrific, and everything we tried was superb. They even had some very surprising and delicious deserts for a pub. Everyone was very friendly including the other patrons. It also has a wonderful pub atmosphere in a historic building. We really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to going back.
