Blessed Sacrament School has caused me more trouble than any struggle in my life thus far! I am an alumnus, I currently am at Cathedral-Prep which is an outstanding school and I cannot stress that enough!

This school graduated me with several failing classes and I could barely get into any school that wasn't bottom line. Some of the teachers said that my grade could be improved if had only gone to help more often. Obviously I started to gowith no prevail. I went twice a week for a half an hour in the morning. This did not help me understand it better nor did it help my grade.

I was just barely accepted into Cathedral-Prep. I had applied to Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Which is an all honors school) multiple times now and have not been denied for my grades at Cathedral-Prep but for those in which I received while at Blessed Sacrament. I will most likely re-apply next year and should be accepted for my grades at Prep will be the only ones in which they can cross reference (At Prep I do earn good grades, almost all of my grades are from 85-93 with no help from Blessed Sacrament). This was a huge disappointment for me! Many of my friends went to Collegiate Academy and still do, I still am very close to them and we hang out weekly but it just isnt the same as when we all went to the same school together.

The staff at this school is outdated YES! They need to replace some of the stuck up teachers that have been there their entire life! Along with the principle, who has not been there very long and had given me the most trouble...none of which really needs to be said. My parents and I had a meeting in her office about what was going on. This ended very badly one of the teachers had got on my mother for inconsistencies in an email??? Sorry she got a name wrong, and said so and so taught math when they really taught science. These are the little things that made this school so bad! In the end my mother walked out in tears asking me if I wanted to switch schools. She had even called several schools and had arrangements for me to switch but I decided to stay for my friends considering it was 8th grade year. This meeting was quite immature and unreasonable on their part!

I very strongly suggest sending your child to a public grade school and **maybe switching to a private school for in high school! This school has definitely changed my future in a negative way!

I have much more to say but I feel if you read this you understand how it is. If you are considering this school please feel free to email me at Ech0419@AOL.com. This is my personal email PLEASE do not spam or flame me for I will just block your emails!

Ratings_icons Great School!

Angela S.

This school not only offers a great education but many other perks including a wonderful athletic program (and field!) and also the best theatre program I've ever seen at this level!

I have three children at this school. They transferred in when their school closed and the teachers, administrators and students were very warm and welcoming. They absorbed my kids very easily.

What a great community!

Ratings_icons Worth Every Penny

I have two children enrolled at this school and it is worth every penny paid! The caring faculty here have helped both of my children to be better in all that they try to do. The school offers much in the way of extra-cirricular as well as focus on academics. Choosing a school for your children is a big step ~ I am confident that we took the right one for our family!

PROS: A Great Education!
