I thought this place was fantastic! Our neighbors heard about it on Martha Stewart's Show, and being Christmas fanatics, we knew we had to go.

There were at least a dozen different exhibit halls, covering everything from the history of the holiday, to Santa's North Pole work shop with animated elves and animals. The story book village is delightful! You walk through it and read parts of the story along the way. So many details! Everywhere you look there's something more to see.

We really liked the train room, where it's as if you're underneath a giant Christmas tree, with all the villages and electric trains around it. The Nativity walk is breath-taking. I felt as if I was in the Holy Land. It is truly an inspired witness and a tribute to the true meaning of the holiday.

Kids would love this museum, but I really think anyone, any age, would easily spend a couple happy hours there. We'll definitely go back, and may make this our annual Christmas tradition.

(It cost us about what we would pay to see a movie - money well spent!)

A treat for all ages! We saw an animated storybook village with animal characters, and the kids got to visit with the REAL SANTA - real beard, twinkle in his eyes and an authentic "Ho Ho Ho!" We loved the lifesized Nativity walk. A wonderful witness to the true meaning of Christmas. Lots of fun and fantasy, too! There's a giant mountain of trains under a giant Christmas tree - like you're tiny, and lying under the tree, watching the trains go round! Woolworth's 5&10 brought back lots of memories. Love Christmas? You'll love National Christmas Center!

An incredible find! A Christmas museum with something for EVERY age. My kids LOVED watching the trains under the HUGE Christmas tree and visiting with Santa. I loved the walk through nativity. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. DEFINATELY a new Christmas tradition for our family!

The National Christmas Center is just awesome and so fun to go to! It is filled with things of Christmas!!
Its a self-guided walk-thru tour too, so move at your own leisure and look around as long as you want!

They have exhibits like, 'Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus', An Amish Christmas, 'Memories & Traditions Of ' and others!
PLUS, there's Santa's Workshop, Tudor Town-a walk though 'village' withover 125 characters in old world costumes, Christmas Around the World, Toyland a nice gift shop, AND...Santa is there from the day after Thanksgiving till Christmas!
The hours are all posted at their site, as well as admission info-which really wasn't bad at all, the last time we went-and we're going back SOON for this holiday season!

Here's the website:www.nationalchristmascenter.com

Its just all so beautiful, cute and magical! Kid will LOVE this place and so will the adults!

PROS: So many exhibits and stuff to see! Tour is self-guided!
CONS: None at all!

On a recent trip to Lancaster we visited the National Christmas Center. I love Christmas so this was a great place for me. You start off in a room with all kinds of old toys and Christmas trees decorated like they were in the past. Then you go to a section which has all kinds of elf and Santa figurines which tell a story. The last room takes you back to Jerusalem the night that Christ was born. We really enjoyed our visit and think you will too.

This was a very unique place with different rooms depicting different aspects of Christmas. One was room was Christmas around the world, one was nativity and there alot of old decorations. Unfortunately the sound was not working during our visit but we really did not notice because it was so beautiful.

I wasn't at all thrilled at the Christmas center. We were so excited to go, had wanted to go for awhile, and were a bit disappointed. In my opinion it is very over priced for what it is. In a word? Boring.
