    Here's the short version:
    1. I only got a fraction of my dog's food back and then blamed for bringing in my own food. It is basic knowledge not to drastically alter a dogs diet. Why weren't we told in the first place? Or why didn't they send it back when the dogs were dropped off?
    2. I was misled about being reimbursed for the dog food they spilled.
    3. I was promised the dogs would be housed together. They were not.

    Here's the long version:
My husband dropped off my two dogs for their first stay. He took 2 types of food. One bag of Stella and Chewy's, and a 5.5 lb bag of Ziwi. Both foods are expensive, totaling just over $100.

When I picked up the dogs, I had to ask for the remaining food. At first, they couldn't find it. Then, they explained the dogs ate all of the food. (The idea that both dogs under 20lbs ate 6lbs of food over 2 nights is laughable.)

In my conversation with a manager (John), I learned the staff had somehow spilled the food. Both bags. However, John agreed this was unacceptable and offered to reimburse me for the lost food, which would total about $80, by sending us a check.

Fast forward a week, I had to call twice to speak with yet another manager, Ann. She promised to return my call, but did not.

Ann informed me that I should not have brought food in because they supply food for the stay. She said my dog kept knocking over the bowl, and the staff kept refilling it (this is the 3rd iteration of what happened). I asked about the credit for food and she refused.

My dog loves this place and so do I. I travel alot for work and have lived in three states Molly's is by far the best facility I have used. I have already reccomded a close co-worker to them and she also loves the place.

This review is about their boarding "service" only.
From my rating you can tell that I was/am not happy from the ??service?. I am especially not happy about the state that I found my dog in at pick-up.

1 - Customer Service: When I took my dog to check-in for his 2 day stay, I was made to wait 15 minutes before anybody would talk to me. Evidently their phone calls are more important than the person who is standing there who already has a reservation made. Also, I got there 30 minutes early when picking him up expecting that I??d wait. There were quite a few people in the office. They didn??t open the door until 2 minutes past the time they advertise. I??d expect that from government agencies and the post office, but a private business? I dont think they would have lost much if I picked up my dog 10 minutes early?
2 - Pricing: They have a nightly fee, which ONLY includes the cage/pen that the dog is in. Even if you bring your own food they charge you $2.50 per feeding. Yes, you pay for your dog to eat your food. They have walks for 5-10-15 min durations, so your dog could be stuck in his pen for 23hrs 45 minutes if you ??only? paid $10 extra per day. Their 1 to 2 hour activities start from $20 and up (on top of the nightly rate). The biggest concern to me was that they charge FULL boarding rate for the day that you are checking OUT your dog even if you get him at 11am. Most places will only charge for activity rates (i.e. daycare). How would you like it if your hotel charged you for the night of the day you check out?
3 - Activities: Upon check-out, I could not get a single word of feedback about how my dog did. They could not report anything to me. All I heard was ??well we don??t have any notes about him up here so that??s a good sign?. Well, did he go on the trails? Did he interact with other dogs? Was he able to sleep? Did he have accidents? Was he scared in the kennel environment?
4 - When I picked him up, he was VERY scared, his fur was sticky all over the bottom part of his body and he smelled like urine among some other strong/unfamiliar odors. I asked if he had an accident, and they only said they didnt see any evidence of that. So where did the stickiness come from? ??He might have gone in the pool? but when I asked them on check-in they said that the pool activities weren??t available because the pool was closed. And what do you mean he ??might have?? I thought these dogs were being treated like family? And how can I trust now that he actually did take part in any of the activities that I signed him up for?
Overall, I did not see any evidence of my dog being treated like family. I had to tell them his name 4 times before they knew who I was there to pick-up. And this after I??d called an hour ahead of time to let them know I was coming.
The only reason I am writing this negative review about them was because I had such a high expectation from reading the other reviews on Molly??s. I was beyond disappointed when I found my dog in the state that he was in after paying $60 per night!!
I would NOT recommend Molly??s boarding to any friend or family.
Also, while picking up I was given a ??coupon? for 5 dollars off next time if I brought in a print-out of my ??positive feedback on Facebook for Molly??s?.
I just hope that my dog can forgive me for whatever he went through over the weekend!

Not only did they omit the information of additional fees, they appear to be inept. Make sure you inquire about all their extra fees because they don't volunteer that info. Then they looked at me like I was crazy for wanting to feed my dog my own food. I can't believe my dog is the only one that gets sick when you change her diet. I think that's fairly common. Finally, they gave her, a 12 pound dog, almost 5 days worth of food in the 30 hours they kenneled her. When asked, they said *I* instructed them to do that. No apology was even given when I complained.

Hoping my dog won't spend the night throwing up. If you choose Molly's run, be prepared for dishonesty, apathy and neglect.

My dog loves this place. I completely trust Anne and John with my dog's care. If I tell my dog he is going to see Anne and John he gets all excited and runs to the car.
I am so glad I have a place like this in my life for my dog.

Molly's Run Country Kennels -- I WOULDN"T PUT MY DOG THERE.

    No, I really wouldn't.

I was looking for a boarding facility for my dogs. Molly's supposedly gives "tours" of their facility at 10 and 4 p.m. So I showed up at 10. Granted, it's a big beautiful property. The young man at the desk called someone to show me around, turned his back, and didn't speak to me again for the five minutes I waited. Then another unfriendly employee arrived. She took me to the kennel area and allowed me to peer through a window down the hallway of cages. No, I could not go through the door. Then we walked out to the outdoor areas, where (according to the brochure) we can pay extra for our pups to have exciting fun times with dog-loving employees. I was again allowed to stand outside a fence and squint at the swimming pool and doggie playground, where a couple of sullen-looking workers were each walking a dog. I was told that "over there" was a creek and trail for doggie hiking. I asked to go inside the fence to get a better look at all these wonders. I was told no.

That was it. She asked if I had any questions. I said yes. Why wasn't I allowed to walk around the whole facility? She said, "It's a safety thing"; that a visitor might not know how to react near strange dogs. I said I own three dogs and that the two dogs within sight were on leashes and I thought I could probably handle it. She said "We don't let people in."

Soooo that's the end of that. I'll find someplace with fewer bells and whistles but with friendly, helpful humans running it.

The one and only time I used Molly's, they did not explain to me that Max would not be let out of his cell unless I paid them an additional fee to do so. In other words, they expected him to relieve himself in his 4x15x3 concrete space for $30.00 a day. They did not accept his special food for him to eat while there and they would not accept the T shirt I brought for him to sleep with. As others have written, if you are 1 minute late, you will not get a tour, you will pay for an additional day, you cannot pick your dog up. They do not care about your dog.

I used this for my dog, and she just loves it there. She always comes home happy, and ready to play. I have used other kennels and she had come back not wanting to really do much, so I know they treat her well!

The staff at this facility made me feel very good about leaving my dog while I was on vacation. I think my dog had a better vacation at Molly's than I did on my vacation. She came home happy and healthy. Very good facility.

Mollys is the place to bring your dog. Their doggy day care is first rate. You can watch your pooch on your computer during the day. There are all kinds of services that you can get for your dog. Their kennel service is fantastic as well.
