STAY AWAY!!!! We signed a 3 month lease. We moved out and left the apartment in excellent condition. Our walk through went well and we were told we would get back our security deposit. Six weeks later we receive a letter in the mail

There are no words to describe this awful place. There are mice, bugs, you name it. We found two dead mice in the basement because they refused to fill a hole in the side of the townhome. They also charge you for everything under the

Like everyone else here, I thought this place would be nice. It is run by the Gestapo! After awhile, you're just afraid to go home! Everything negative that everyone wrote here is true. The positive stuff HAD to come from office staff

This place is not worth the price. I still live here and they pick on people about everything. Jennifer the manager is a snob, and the rest of the people in office are terrible . If you talk to Shannon in office you will think you are talking to a two face person. trust me, save your self a headache and find somewhere nicer to live. It does look nice at the beginning but beleive me you will be shocked. They complain about your kids, if you have anything on your porch, including a kids toy you will get a letter, I mean anything. They think they own you, by making you be in at 8 pm if you have kids. some people get away with everything and if you are not in the click they hassle you to death. If you do not want to move in a year do your self a favor an move to a better place. you can see other people wrote about bugs well I will tell you it is true. The applainces and the carpet are bottom of the line. For 1030 month you can find something much better. So go ahead and make a mistake and move here and I bet you that you will be unhappy after a couple of months.

We have lived in Georgetown for 1 year now and unfortunately we are stuck there until our son is out of elementary school. When we first looked at Georgetown we were really pleased, it seemed very nice and very well maintained. Since we moved in we realized things aren??t always as they appear! Georgetown??s main website states these are luxury townhomes, Triple Crown wouldn??t know a luxury townhome if they tripped over it. If you want to see luxury, go look at the townhomes built by either Hogan or Yingst. From the paint, to the flooring/carpet, to the bottom of the line appliances Triple Crown took short cuts everywhere they possibly could. We pay over $1300.00 a month to live in these mediocre at best townhomes. They painted the entire place with flat paint, it shows EVERY little flaw & oh my lord is there flaws everywhere. You can see the drywall tape seams in all the ceilings of every room, they ceilings are very rippled. The carpet is a dingy looking beige/brown and the flooring they used in the kitchen, bathrooms & entrance way is horrible. The entry way flooring is bubbling and the seams are coming apart, the corners are lifting. The kitchen floor looks like it always has dirt marks on it because anytime anything hard falls on it, the flooring splits. The blinds are horrible, again the cheapest thing they could find. Last winter I saw other tenants putting plastic over their windows & I thought what in the heck are they doing that for, we soon found out! There is NO insulation in these places whatsoever. You can feel air coming in around the windows all the time. The upstairs is FREEZING in the winter and HOT in the summer. You can see daylight out around the pipes in the basement. There are BUGS everywhere in this place, in the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms we kill those silverfish bugs constantly and downstairs there are always centipedes. Over the summer you couldn??t even enjoy the deck because of the spiders and moths. In the morning our whole front porch and back door would be covered with spiders and moths?GROSS!!! The appliances are a joke, the refrigerator makes horrible banging noises and freezes all produce, the dishwasher never cleans everything the 1st time through, the garbage disposal has backed up 3-4 times needing maintenance to come (we didn??t have use of the kitchen sink for 2 days the 1 time) one of the times we put cooked noodles down it?! It takes the dryer over 2 hours to dry an average load of laundry .The list goes on and on. Then to top off the actually living experience the girls in the office are beyond bitchy. I am not sure where they think they work, but just because you think you work for some prestigious luxury townhome community, you don??t! They need to brush up on their customer service skills, if the tenants calling and asking questions is really that annoying, maybe they should rethink their profession. If it wasn??t for the tenants you wouldn??t have a job! I??m not sure what kind of screening process they use anymore, since newer tenants are starting to look more and more like Jerry Springer show stars. I give this place a year or so and it will look no better than some inner city project housing community or trailer park!

Pros: location; school district

Cons: Everything else

This comment seems to be written by the community office themselves..see the language and you will understand..the townhouses are with very small bedrooms, over priced, average maintenance, rude staff and extremely pricy utilities...think twice before considering these..

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!
Georgetown Crossing looked like the perfect place for my fiance and myself to live for a year while we saved for a house.WRONG!!!! When we first toured it everything looked so clean & well cared for.It looked like a peaceful place; the neighbors seemed pleasant; even the high prices could be overlooked when we heard about the pool, playground area, mini gym, etc..BUT, after a year, I have a few greivances to air.First, there were the spiders. The apts are infamous for their spider infestation. No exaggeration, ask any long time tenant.Next, there was the parking lot..G.C is supposed to maintain their lot during winter. The first big snow, only the main road was clear. The plows simply pushed snow in front of the parked cars.I spent 45 minutes trying to get my car dug out to go to work. Then, there was the ice.Our two spots were the ONLY ones in the parking lot still covered in ice for MONTHS!! I fell twice getting to my car.Should have sued when I had the chance I suppose..Oh, and the heating bills!! For a ONE bedroom apt where the heat is kept at 71, the monthly bills were $200+!!!! F*ing ridiculous. And that 71 feels more like 50..the insulation is POOR..we bought special curtains and everything..cold still just seeps in. And finally, they lost a rent check and refused to assume any responsiblity. They are trying to charge us late fees due to their own incompetence. We deliver 2 checks a month, every month, always in the same envelope. My check was cashed..my fiances was not. They lost it.We have proof in his check register, bank statements showing the money was in his account, he was even the one to take the checks down. They didn't call us about the problem, or knock on the door..No, I got to come home and find a big red delinquency notice taped on the door!!How embarrassing. We're going to pursue legal action against Triple Crown Corp for this situation..

PLEASE do not live in the apartments. Spare yourself $1000 a month, and a new headache every day.

Pros: mostly well maintained on the outside, nice features like pool and gym, ample parking

Cons: idiotic management-cannot stress enough just how poor the service was

When my daughter and I first started looking at places to live in the Harrisburg area we had a set of specific criteria -- good schools, close proximity to work, activities for my 6 year old grandson, a place for our pets, and a good social scene. Georgetown Crossing fills the bill on every count.

Our community is friendly, the maintenance excellent and timely, the layout convenient, and we are located only a couple of miles from the elementary school. We are only a short distance from every store, doctor, and service we need, but removed from the busy roads. We use the pool almost daily during the summer, enjoy activities sponsored by the complex, and are thrilled to say it's easy to clean up after pets because there are even bags and garbage recepticles conveniently placed throughout the complex.

I would recommend Georgetown Crossing to anyone looking for a good home for a family. It costs more -- but you get the value.
