We got a waitress that CLEARLY did not want to be there. She barely attended our table, and when she did, she gave attitude about it. The food is pretty good, and the beer they have is delicious. Great for lunches!

I have been going to Iron Hill regularly (at least once a week) for the 3.5 years that I have lived in Media, and I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. The food is always excellent, the portions are generous, the service is prompt and friendly, and the restaurant is clean (but not over-decorated).

People are sometimes disappointed that there is no Miller Lite in sight, but a true brewpub only serves their own beers, and I enjoy their beer very much.

In terms of parking, the two lots surrounding Iron Hill are often packed, but there are 2 parking garages within walking distance (with meters that are free after 6 pm) and there is always plenty of parking on Front Street, one block parallel to State Street.

The staff at Iron Hill is knowledgeable about their dishes, and if you ever get a beer sampler you know that they all know their stuff when it comes to the brews. I don't think my order has ever gotten messed up (and I'm one of those picky people who orders my burger without onions and tomatoes, etc.) and everything runs at a nice pace (prompt without feeling like they're rushing you out).

The best place in Media to go to for a good meal and dependable service, minus the frustration of places like Brodeur's (extremely slow service) or the smokiness of Quotations (Iron Hill has been smoke free since Jan. 1, 2007).

This is our regular restaurant because it is really kid friendly. It has a great kids menu--a few things beyond the regular chicken fingers and hot dogs. The beer is pretty good. I usually stick with sandwiches or pizza. I think their entrees are overpriced and just so so.

I've been to Iron Hill in Media at least 20 times in two years, since it's a favorite of my boss. I find the menu small and limiting, especially for someone who doesn't really like seafood. They have decent pizza. Service is often inattentive for dinner, but generally good for lunch. Food is decent, but nothing to really recommend it. Decent burger, good pizza, good salads. Nothing really horrible, just fair. Parking is a major pain (not just here, but on State St in general.) Beer is decent and they offer a good variety. I find myself tired of going there, though.

Pros: "Safe" dining

Cons: Average all around

While the place is very clean and the price is right, the food isn't the greatest. It could be better. They do have a nice assortment of beers there that hit the spot. The staff is very nice and very attentive. Parking is a killer.

Food is just alright there, nothing to write home about. The fact that they serve beer and have beer kegs in the resterant. Not the best tasting food, but I guess they figure if you had a few beers you wouldn't notice, Not a bad price.

PROS: They do serve beer with their meals.
CONS: off street resterant. Look for parking.

it seems every town in america has a brew pub now. some are better then others. this is one of the better ones. Iron Hill has a great menu, there is always something different to try. from burgers, to gourmet pizzas, to fish and poultry. plus their craft-brewed beer is awesome. Iron Hill also has brew pubs in West Chester and Newark, DE
