i visited the SHV location earlier this week and wanted a full set and a french pedicure .. they had two different people do each service which is fine .. girl who did the pedicure was nice but couldnt do a pedicure to save her life .. she did the thinnest white tip EVER and they started to chip/crack that night and the tip didnt even cover my whole toenail!! the guy who did my full set was rude .. he kept picking at my cuticles and made them bleed several times and he kept answering his phone AS he was doing my nails .. and the bottom of the arylics is ALREADY chipping! ive never had that happen .. so in the end paid 82$ for horrible nails .. tried to get ahold of owner and he never got back .. talk about good customer service .. STAY AWAY!!

Paid a ridiculous $40 to be rushed through an incomplete manicure, cuticles untouched and 1/8" of nail not even polished!!!! The owner said I could come back in (so u want ME to waste more time???) and when I asked for a refund he said "good luck". There are many other places who do a great job for a lot less money.

I never had my nails done professionally before I went to them. My fiance gave me gift certificates for Christmas.I went and asked for Gel Nails. Not really knowing what they were, I just heard they were the way to go. I had a gift certicate for $55.00 I had my nails done and my daughters nails were painted. I had a $10 off coupon. The manicurist took my $55 gift certificate and $10 off coupon and said ""You're good." No explanation of charges. I went back for a fill in and 1 repair. He took my second gift certificate, this one for $40 and said "You're good". When I questioned him about the charge he said something about "it took an hour"...??? I was disgusted and decided I just wouldn't go back. Today I went to another salon, they told me I DONT have gel nails they are acryilics! I couldn't be more dissatisfied, Ignorance is NOT BLISS. Know what you want and what it will cost before you get it done, don't just think they will be honest. The nails were very thick and a little bumpy in spots. The atmosphere is nice, but that's probably to keep you from realizing they are ripping you off! Proceed there with caution!!!

The first time I went to Sassy's the woman did a great job. I even scheduled another appointment with her. I come back (on the date/time of my appointment) to find out that she no longer works there. STRIKE 1: no one called or notified me of this change. STRIKE 2: I then started to have Kenny do my nails. The first time it was great! The next several times I came his hand designs were HORRIBLE (looked like some 5 year old was playing in nailpolish on my toes) and the past 2 times my nails CRACKED (several) within days of having them done!!! I pay $30 - $40 each time I go there for a solar (pink/white) fill and they CRACK each time. STRIKE 3: They don't honor appointments. Everytime I go there I make an appointment and show up ON TIME and I still have to wait 15 - 20 minutes for my nail tech to finish with someone else.

I went to sassy's nail spa in century 3 mall. They did my nails good but it was hard to understand them. The price for a full set of acrylic nail was reasonable ($25.00). I still go there and they still do a good job.

They SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!
I stopped in the SHV location on a Sunday afternoon to get my nails done. Everybody gets the glitter tip done. I wanted something different. I wanted the glitter acrylic powder done over my whole natural nail.
So I put my name on the sheet to wait for the next available person. After about 20 minutes, the receptionist comes over and informs me, "they said they can't do it." Don't kill the messenger, so I asked her to get the incapable coward that told her to deliver that message. SEVERAL minutes later, one of them comes over and again says that they can't do this. I ask why, and all they keep telling me is that, "it won't work. It won't adhear." That's crap! It's acrylic. And hey guess what,IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, it will adhear to anything! Plus they said, "well, you'll have to always get the same color done." Hey guess what, I'M PAYING FOR IT, let me worry about it. And #2, I'M THE CUSTOMER, I'M ALWAYS RIGHT! Even when I'm not. If it doesn't work out, then shame on me. I'm out $60 bucks. What am I gonna do, take them to court?
Long story short, I went to AVALON SPA & NAIL SALON IN THE MALL AT ROBINSON (next to Macy's) and got done exactly what I wanted. No problems. No attitudes. And it was absolutely gorgeous!!

Not only did I pay $20 to have my cuticles butchered but the finished manicure was awful.

There were bubbles on every nail. My mom had this happen to. They are not using the correct polish or top coat with their UV dryers.

They did not refund any portion of my money but offered to re-do the manicure -- I wasn't about to spend another hr of my time there.

Pros: nice selection of colors

Cons: expensive, bleeding cuticles, poor finished manicure

I went there and it was my very first manicure, they did a good job but they were very expensive, and everyone that worked there was Asian (not that i care) but you couldn't understand a word that they said, I'm gonna try Europe nails next week and I'm hoping they will be able to speak at least some English.

I'm a fifteen year old girl, and since Sassy's is in our mall, so many woman and teens go there to get their nails done. Everyone that works there is Asian, besides the secretary, and not that I'm being racist, but they're very hard to understand. My cuticles always bleed, the manicurists can be horribly rude, and when you schedule an appointment, you'll probably be taken in twenty minutes later than you scheduled. In the end, about 75% of the time, you get a good manicure, and the other 25, it looks horrible. They also work very slowly, and on multiple people at a time. Their prices are a bit over my price range, especially if I want a pedicure too. I would recommend them if you don't mind disappointment. A new place called Europe Nails is opening on the other side of the mall, and I'm wondering if it'll flock more customers, and if you'll be able to comprehend who's doing your nails. Only time will tell.
