Delancey Street bagels has some tasty food but it's generally incredibly overpriced. They do have awesomely delicious bagels, so we'll go for it on occasion, but only if it's truly special!

Used to be good, but over past few years the place has been let go. Recently, it has actually been dirty and staff is usually goofing off. Too bad, because their bagels are good.

Stopped in Delancey Street several times while my husband and I were visiting family for the holidays. I have never seen such a variety of bagels. My favorite is the sesame seed, although the rye is great also. Some of our favorite sandwiches are the turkey special on sesame bagel, the breakfast bagel, pizza bagel and the steak and egg bagel. Not only do they have great bagels, but a vast assortment of baked goods. The croissants are to die for. There is always a large selection of piping hot coffee available and if you so desire you can get an espresso or latte or purchase coffee beans to take home. The wait staff is friendly and outgoing and what I personally liked was there was plenty of help as the store was crowded each time I was there. Each time we visited Delancey Street the owner was on the floor checking on things and talking with customers. I would highly recommend Delancey Street. Great location, and the train station is across the street.

I visited Delancey Street Bagels in Wynnewood to have lunch at around 3pm. The store, even though it was not near closing time, was out of a large number of bagel types (my first FIVE choices were gone). Finally, someone offered to make more bagels. So I ordered a Tuscan Chicken on everything, which comes with sun dried tomatoes, pesto sauce, grilled chicken and melted marinated string cheese and clocks in at a whopping $7.25. When I got my order, all that was on my sandwich was chicken and cheese. I took it back and told the young woman at the counter that my sandwich also came with pesto sauce and sun dried tomatoes. She was very nice, but incompetent. She just looked baffled and kept looking at the sign to see if it was true then asked me what I would like her to do. I said, please send this back to the kitchen and have them put the pesto and sun dried tomatoes on it, so she does this and about 15 seconds later, I hear the kitchen guy yell over that the store is out of both of those ingredients. You don?t take orders for items that the store is out of, especially if it?s 2 out of the 4 ingredients on the sandwich. No one told me. No one asked me if I would rather have something else? You also don?t just make a sandwich with whatever you do happen to have and serve it up to a customer without ever saying anything. Poor management and communication skills on this afternoon pretty much ruined my lunch. I was very, very annoyed and frankly, a chicken and string cheese sandwich is rather dry and not very tasty.

Cons: very young staff, frequently incompetent

I went to this Delancey's twice, and twice the food was pretty bad. My chicken was dry and had no flavor. Maybe they improved, but the place is run by a bunch of teenagers. That's fine, but the food at the Delancey's in Bala Cynwyd is better.

Delancey Street Bagels is a local favorite. They bake their own bagels right on the premises and boy are they delicious. They have over twenty varieties to choose from. You can get them with just cream cheese or you can get them as sandwiches. I have never been disappointed when I have had them put together a little spread for an office breakfast meeting. There is also ample seating inside to eat and have a cup of coffee.
