i had gone to Carmine a few times for cut and highlights. One time I had to take an appointment for highlights seperate from getting a cut. I was disgusted when after spending all that money for highlights to be handed a blow dryer to dry and style my hair myself!!

I never write reviews, but I decided I needed to, since I am constantly referring people to Carmine & Co and specifically to Linda. I continually get asked where I get my hair cut (even when the cut has grown out a bit) by strangers while standing in line at the grocery store, etc. as well as by acquaintances and friends. One funny story--I was on vacation in Maine and I had just rolled out of bed to go for a walk. I ran into someone selling jewelry on the side of the road. She asked if she could take a picture of my hair because she liked the cut--no styling needed! Linda has been cutting my hair for years and I am always completely satisfied. She is wonderful and always has great suggestions for the latest styles and trends and techniques. My experience at Carmine is always great. It is about a 25 minute drive from my house, but definitely worth it. Can't imagine going anywhere else.

I did wear my hair in the bob that everyone has and went to my stylist Jaime for something different. Luckally all the girls that work at Carmine and Co. go to classes 6 to 8 times a year she had just had a class a couple of days before and learned this new haircut ,showed me in on a manniquine and I fell in love with it .Thank you Jamie ,knowledge is power!

I swear, stars famous for their hair like meg ryan and jennifer anniston must pay hundreds of dollars for fancy cuts in LA or NYC when an experienced hair artist at Carmine's would do for them in warrington, PA for around 50 bucks. This place is a best kept secret in the philadelphia area.
I first went here at 16 and had my waist length hair cut off into a short cut, ala Winona Ryder in Reality Bites. It was amazing.
Many many excellent cuts later, I am older (and back to longer hair) but I still think Carmines is the best. As for cost, it's all relative. If you are used to center city prices or top notch haircuts, the prices here are CHEAP!!! I find it incredibly reasonable.
Try Linda. She can do something super trendy for you if you want and take the reigns. Or she will listen to your specific requirements and give you any cut you want.
I should say that I've noticed a decent percentage of the clientele are mature women with relatively conservative cuts, so even if you aren't a trendy-wendy like myself, I recommend it.
I don't colour my hair generally, but got highlights by Marina and I explained to her that I am not a high maintenance gal so I need something that is not going to need touch ups etc. She did a cool thing where she left the hair alone on the very top of my head so I wouldn't get visible roots. They look great and I'm so glad she listened to me.

I have been going to Carmine & Co for 2 years now based on a recommendation, and I think they do a great job. I am 28 years old and they keep my hair in style and do fantastic coloring.
As for the review that said they cut hair after it's dry... well I've never had a hairdresser that didn't make the finishing touches on my hair after it dries... that's what good hairdressers do. It's a technique, and I know for a fact that they have award winning hairdressers come in to do workshops during closed hours so that the stylists learn the latest techniques.

I recently moved to Warrington and had heard Carmine had a good reputation. I have been there 3 times and gotten my hair cut by 3 different stylists. All three gave me a bad haircut and I wont be getting my hair cut there anymore. Also, after the cut and blow dry your hair, then the cut it again while dry. I say if you cant get it right the first time you need to go back to school.

I have been an employee of carmine and co. for over 15 years now. I have travelled the world expanding my knowledge and skills of the business and continue to keep up with my education by attending seasonal classes. I feel i am well worth the 51 dollars i charge for a color. (only 9 dollars more than hair cuttery. I know, i have checked) Our prices vary from employee to employee based on our years of experience. So we have a wide range of prices suitable to all budgets! just like any thing else in life, you get what you pay for. A menu of our services and prices has always been available at the front desk, just ask! just like many of my coworkers, my loyal clients mean alot to me. And we treat them so. We have even travelled to our clients homes to accomodate them when they have not been able to come in due to illnesses or injuries. Our job is not easy, not only do we have to make you look good we have to sometimes be underpaid therapists and also listen when your having a bad day and taking it out on everyone in your path as well as your hair! LADIES... you know what i am talking about. So you can read all the other reviews and judge us, or you can come in and judge for yourselves!

I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 15 YEARS. I HAD A SHOULDER INJURY AND COULD NOT DRY MY HAIR. I WAS CHARGED $30.00 FOR 10 MINUTES OF WORK. I HAD BEEN THERE TO HAVE MY HAIR COLORED $46.00. I WAS GIVEN A SYLIST TO BLOW DRY MY HAIR NEVER THINKING SHE WOULD CHARGE ME $30.00. PRICES ARE NOT LISTED OR AVAILABLE TO THE CUSTOMER. AFTER 15 YEARS, I AM FINISHED!

expected a good haircut from a place advertising that they had won multiple awards but didn't even get a decent cut. haircut was one of the worst I have ever had, the work seemed rushed. Saw a lot of really old women getting cuts and touch-ups so it may be that they are catering mainly to the old lady clientele. Would not go there if you are young.

My girlfriend has gone here a few times with all with excellent results. Most of us are picky about our results and they have never failed her. They are very friendly and are priced fair. I would recommend them to others. Some of the other saloons in the area rip you off. Don't trust when they say what the total will be up front.
