I have to completely disagree with the first review. Margarita cut my hair and it was a disaster! She charges center city prices but the salon is old and outdated. I had to go to another stylist in the same week to fix the cut she gave me. I would never go back.

Best haircuts I've ever had. Margarita listens to what you want and is a true artist. She is expensive, definitely Center City head stylist prices but since I only get haircuts once a year the expense is worth it to me.

Exceptional talent coupled with the warmest atmosphere possible. Wonderful women

I escorted my Mother to have her hair done, not expecting to have my own hair cut. The charm, graciousness, and confidence of the beautiful women there made me think "Perhaps I could use a trim". The lovely and elegant Pilar not only used her mastery to sculpt my hair exactly the way I like it (without even telling her how I liked it), but involved me in a conversation I thoroughly enjoyed while working artistically on my hair. It was as if she was working in a transcendendant state, being one with her art.
It is experiences like this that make me a new customer. Thanks Mom for introducing me to Margarita's, but more importantly, thank YOU, Pilar, for being who you are.
Pros: If I had more than seven thumbs, they would all go way up!!!!!!
Cons: I got a ticket while bringing my Mom into Margarita's. My fault. Be careful when parking.

Elegance on a Budget

I have been a patron of Margarita's since.. let's say more than 25 years. She is one of the most skilled hair cutters that I have known and friends have asked me where I go and have been referred to her. Her shop is family run(sister, cousins etc.) and everyone is welcome at this international but "down home " House of beauty.
I am a single Mom and do not have much time or extra cash to splurge, my 6 week visits are my luxury and wellness treatment. You get what you pay for! Do I have to say more.
Pros: Personalized, wonderful support sta
Cons: Sometimes crowded, deal w/ CC parking
