Golden Spoon Spa

Eight women gathered at Golden Spoon Spa to celebrate the special birthday of one of the women. We had the spa to ourselves for the whole morning. All of the women, who have been lucky enough to travel widely and experience treatments in the finest spas in this country and Europe, raved about the quality of the treatments ( which varied from massage, reflexology, facials to manicures) and the expertise of the aestheticians. We were treatly royally and thorougly enjoyed ourselves. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend it to others.

The spa actually feels more like someone's home. It is very cozy (quiet and relaxing; intimate) but it falls short of luxurious. The staff is nothing but polite, warm, welcoming, informative and skillful -- and, to their credit, that is probably what really matters. I loved my full body massage. My friend loved her facial but was disappointed with her manicure.

I am not sure where to park (perhaps ask the staff for a recommendation) -- we parked at the hotel and it cost over $20.00.

I have been to many spas in my lifetime and The Golden Spoon Spa is by far the best spa experience I have ever had, I have gone to spas all over the USA, Canada and many foreign countries! The people were wonderful, kind and very encouraging. We received the best of care and we were the only clients in the spa so we were never waiting or interrupted. I can't say enough about the employees at this spa, courteous, friendly, informative and extremely kind. I will definitely go back to the Golden Spoon Spa on my next visit to Pittsburgh, as a matter of fact, I may go to Pittsburgh for the sole purpose of going to the Golden Spoon Spa!

I have been at your Spa a number of times and there is nothing better than a little pampering to get me through the week.

Overall the servives were generally professional, but I found it to be greatly overpriced given that the products (scrubs, masks, etc.) they use are not anything special, but in fact seemed of a somewhat low quality. The massage was very relaxing, but the pedicure was just average and the technician cut my cuticle until it was bleeding! Also, she tried several times to sell me some of their expensive vitamins, though I had expressed that I wasn't interested. The spa director's friendliness seemed a bit forced, like he really only wanted to do business rather than to provide the best experience for the customer. My experience at this spa was generally positive, but be careful that they don't try to squeeze extra money out of you!
