Fun  4 Star Rating - Very good

This is a fun bar right in philly. It is a good place to go on the weekend, and always seems to have a lively crowd. Drinks are average price, so you won't go broke there.

Bartenders are Jerks! 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

What are the bartenders' problems at this place?!?! We were there with a group on a Friday night (giving them a good deal of business on what seemed to be a fairly slow night for them). They were promoting a 22 ounce special stout, served in a glass that was clearly NOT 22 ounces. When we inquired about it the bartender berated us...telling us how good a special it was compared to their normal prices and what, didn't we like the beer? We did like the beer but it clearly was less than 22 ounce we were paying for! The bartender finally acquiesed that is was a misprint but he could NOT have been nastier about it! Later one of the guys in our group accidentally knocked over a table and spilled some cheese dip....and they threw our entire group out (about 30 people)....even those who were on the other side of the bar and didn't even see it!! Save yourself a headache and go across the street to Moriarty's or Doc Watson's where the drinks are just as good and the service is MUCH MUCH better.

Pros: Close to other places you could go instead
Cons: Nasty bartenders

Cheap eats and GREAT service! 5 Star Rating - World class

Went there on a date and ordered the fish n' chips... date had cajun chicken salad. They were both amazing! CHEAPEST irish food in the city. The Service was EXCELLENT and friendly! A little loud, but more of an excuse to get close to talk. ;)

Pros: Cheap food, GOOD FOOD, Great service!
Cons: lots of TV's. a little loud.

Stop here for a cheap and yummy dinner. 5 Star Rating - World class

Mmmmm, I ordered Fish and Chips, and the 20th street sampler, wash it down with a Hoegaarden and you have instant success. I ate here with a VERY large group (about 32 people) and we all had a great time, our special guests we were treating enjoyed themselves as well. The atmosphere is great and the food is too, you gotta try this place.

Pros: Fast service, great food, CHEAP
Cons: there are none

worth a visit 4 Star Rating - Very good

this Irish Pub is not as popular as the one of 20th and Walnut and that can be a good thing in some ways. it's not as crowded and you usually won't pay a cover charge
