first of all when a person smashes an aux cable in there center console its not the shops fault its your own. And when u mess up a product and expect it replaced you will need to pay for it. If it was the shops fault yes then it would be fixed, if i put my car into a wall i dont expect the dealer to fix it for free, it wasnt their fault i wrecked.

next when u have to look ata window for 10 min to find the "mark" in the tint then you are nit picking. Bubbles in tint disappear after a few days sometimes up to a week or more depending on weather. Im sure when somnething is done wrong its fixed, its amazing how quickly reviews are posted when people dont get there own way i guess everytime i had to stand in line for 20 min i should post a bad review, or when taco bell forgot my mild sauce i should write a book about it? All im saying is that if when the problem is valid and at the business own mistake or whatnot it is handled. If you had an issue that was valid it would have been fixed. thank you

This shop is a HUGE disappointment. Took my 2010 370Z here to get window tint due to the website stating how great the warranty was and how they guarantee a "FLAWLESS" product. After having the tint applied I noticed an insane amount of

Here's a tip. Learn something about the products you sell! I spent $2500 on JL Audio equipment last year in August. I had problems with the installation and some of the speakers would not play or cut in and out. I had these jokers try to fix the problem several times. They are very unprofessional and downright ignorant. The showroom is a mess. I finally had enough when they told me I would be charged for 3 hours of labor to connect an iPod cable to power!

Do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake- go to AUDIOWORX in the city of Pittsburgh. These guys know what they are doing. I had them remove the faulty auxiliary cable that Speed Of Sound Installed and replace it with an iPod cable (with power) and paid for one hour of labor. Trut me- don't shop at Speed Of Sound.

Hello my name is Aaron, I am the current GM, Operator, etc of Speed of Sound in Butler Pa. I was browsing and saw the Reviews and felt the need to respond.
My job isn't limited to sales, and Management. I am also one of two Remote Start Technicians, in charge of Starters, Alarms, and everything in between.
When Doing a Remote Starter we are very careful, precise, and Professional. Each year over 600+ Remote Car Starters, and/or Alarms Pass Threw Our Doors. About 35% or more are return customers, another 45% or so are Franchised Car Dealerships and Garages, and the rest are new Customers. Each and Every Vehicle is Handled with the Same Nature and Precision that Speed of Sound has done for over a decade.
R/S's require time, and materials. Yes we use 3M T-taps on all our wire connections. With the exception of Priority Data Wiring, or Vehicle Security Wiring.( EX: Passlock, Passkey, RX/TX, etc )
Some Companies or individuals recommend Cutting open and Splicing into the Vehicle Wires. Our company feel that exposing any wiring that need not be, causes a variable that could compromise the integrety of the vehicles wiring, as well as the vehicles operations. An Unneeded Process that could cause more harm than good. In the Past 5 years over 3,000+ vehicles have been equipped with car starters. And of those 3,000+ all have 3M T-Taps Making the required connections, And out of that Large Group, not once have we ever had an issue stemming from the use of 3M Taps, or the way they were installed.
The second thing was the key in the box comment and how it was installed. Yes, some vehicles require the " 556U or TBXkey " or the Coffin as some have come to call it. More in the early 2000 - 2005 due to the rise of transponder technology in the manufacturing of Vehicles. It was a cheap and reliable solution to car theft for about 75% US, and Foreign Car Companies. Technology has come a long way in 10 years and and Companies have discovered ways of duplicating the unique code of each chip. Making the " key in the box " mostly obsolete.
Every vehicle has a different environment under the dash. When a starter is installed, the unit is mounted, its wiring is shortened to run with OEM wires, and the concealed to make it mostly invisible to the normal person. Our job is not only to install it, but to do it in a way that is clean and professional. Use if 3M Electrical Tape, Flex Loom, and Zip TIes make this possible.
All the above info can be summarized as.... we have been around for a long time, and have been outfitting vehicles with car starters for quite some time. Are we perfect, NO. Nobody is, but we make every effort to ensure that the installation is smooth and clean. And the customers end product will give them years of problem free service. And nobody can predict exactly how any electronic device will work, and how long it will work for. Which is why the starters we use are Directed Electronics Products, one of the top manufacturers in the world. And on top of the no charge Professional installation, We extend our customers an IronClad Lifetime Guarantee on the equipment for the life they own the vehicle. Anything goes wrong with the product we will fix or replace for pretty much ever if the vehicle is owned that long lol.
So end statement would be i am sorry our installation isnt up to your expectations. If it is your vehicle please call us and we can secure and pieces that can cause any problems. And I hope that all is working and you have a wonderful Holiday. Thanks for the Time

Stopped in and spoke with sales/tech person who had no idea what he was talking about. Quoted me prices that were much higher than any where else and lack of professionalism was abundant. Try calling in and you get a thug wanna be drop out. Would not even let them touch my BMW.

I recently inspected an install job done by this shop and found T-Tap crimp connections on all of the high current wires and a spare key tucked under dash inside a box, unsecured not wire tied in place. Module only held in place by one wire tire. I would not recommend for install....unprofessional workmanship.

My husband purchased a remote starter here for my birthday. They had a really difficult time installing it in my car. Apparently Hondas are pretty challenging when it comes to remote starters. Anyway, they were great. They worked extra hours to get it done for me. Really nice guys.
