The king size bed was very cozy and required no &quot;getting used to&quot; period as is often the case. The room had its own thermostat. Shades (the old kind, with the ring you pull down) blocked light well. And, the room was remarkably quiet, although a hot water pipe made a groaning sound when first turned on (subtract one-tenth of a point). We discovered, also, that a previous guest had absconded with the TV remote . . . and when we mentioned this at the front desk, they offered us a -new room-.
