We keep going back to Damascus, even though we live 1/2 hour away, because they have absolutely the best Middle Eastern food I have ever eaten, anywhere. This little neighborhood restaurant is one of Allentown's hidden treasures. Try the fattoush with grilled chicken!

Fantastic Middle Eastern food! This little neighborhood restaurant may not be elegantly decorated, but it has the best Middle Eastern food in the area. My favorite is the fattoush with grilled chicken, but everything I have ever had there

Do not expect a restaurant style atmosphere. It is more of a cafe style atmosphere. Their pastries are delicious, try the shawarma dish or other dishes that they make, which are full of flavor. I enjoyed my time there. A+ plus, for the cute waitress. I would go there again.

clean
friendly
feels like home
could be romantic
it's the food that is the main attraction here though
from the intense use of garlic to the generous splashes of olive oil
try the grilled kibbie, pickled eggplant, babaganoush, the stuffed cabbage & grape leaves, the spinach pies
all some of the very best syrian food I've eaten anywhere almost as good as my grandmother's was

Pros: The food is by far the best in the valley for syrian food

Cons: on street parking not the best,
