Not at all happy with the experience of having my daughter's 8th birthday there. We reserved 20 kids, and they told us we'd have a double room and 2 hostesses to help the kids. As it turned out, they overbooked, only gave us a single room (VERY cramped with the kids and parents) and one hostess, but still charged us the 9.50/kid for the extra 10 kids. That extra cost doesn't cover any extra food - they still only give 2 pizzas (which is what they give for 10 kids) - and no outside food allowed - you have to buy THEIR pizza at their marked up prices.

So what does that extra 9.50/kid cover, if not the extra room, extra hostess and extra food? Skate rentals and open skate passes - which are only $7 total to anyone who walks in off the street (for under 8 years old, which these kids were).

Aside from being over-promised, under-delivered and ripped off with the costs, did the kids have fun? Somewhat - they sold out of the "skater helpers" (extra cost) so kids who had never been skating were left out in the cold (especially since there was only 1 helper), and the ice was EXTREMELY crowded, so it was pretty intimidating for the small ones. I don't skate, but was told that the ice was pretty rough too. But, my daughter enjoyed it, b/c she knows how to skate, and was willing to help her friends, and they basically had a good time.

Overall, very unsatisfactory - will never return. Good luck to you, if you go.

I am a skater but usually take kids to Ice Line who are not. The ice is cut but not particularly well and is generally rough - to match the kids who are there. I agree with the person who said that open sessions are tough for the novice or young person. There seem to be a lot of kids who run roughshod over the youngsters. I think this is typical of open skating sessions but a little more supervision by kids who do not appear to be hockey players would be nice. There is nothing for the adult skater at this facility. One would think that with as many rinks as there are, Ice Line would accommodate adult skating and open sessions at off hours. The ticket counter folks are not the friendliest I've ever met, either.

I recently took my son for his birthday. They didn't have the computers up so that was a bit of a hassle. We got our skates promptly but the rink was quite crowded. Since my son's a preschooler and new to the ice, he was a bit overwhelmed. There were only a handful of cones to help younger skaters navigate. Some older children were a bit aggressive too. I think it's a better spot for older children.

Year round, ice line offers a place for ice skating and other ice hockey leagues, teams, and also instruction. The ice is well maintained and during the peak nights, they have a DJ playing music in both of the rinks. They always seem to have enough rentals of every size. The prices have increased over the years and are a bit high.
