I notice there is a new groupon available for this place. Please do your homework and check out other reviews beside the one on the place's web-site. I would not recommend you spend the 1/2 price $ for a meal here. Many other places to spend your money for a much better experience. Our recent dinner there was sub-par and not worth the visit.

We had a wonderful experience with CreekSide Inn. We even had them cater an event and it was so great we booked them again for next year.

We also plan on taking all of our out of town guests to Christine's for dinner.

Food and drinks were great and the service was excellent. We had a group of eight people who are very hard to please and everyone had a great meal.

Four of us brought half of our meal home

My husband and I ate at Christine's last evening with another couple. Bartender is sorely lacking in skills. I can't be sure there actually was a bartender however. You are OK if you are ordering beer or wine but if you are looking for a martini look to pay $9.00 for the smallest, lousy martini you will ever try to drink.
I ordered the roasted duck with pineapple salsa. My plate consisted of 1/2 duck done fairly well--skin could have been crispier--with two scoops of crushed can pineapple spooned over it garnished with a wilted brown orchid. I am willing to spend the money on a chef's best but this was truly disappointing to this foodie. Dessert was disappointing as well. Beware!

I don't understand why this restaurant has such bad reviews. I was just there on Friday and the food was OUTSTANDING. In fact, it had to have been the best Italian cuisine I have had in years! The service was quick, and the staff was very pleasant . Oh and I almost forgot, the chocolate lava cake my husband and I had...OUT OF THIS WORLD! Everything was wonderful & I will be back very soon!

This was the worse meal I had in my life. There was an odor to the food, and the lamb tasted old. It was inedible. The vegetable was microwaved same with the bread. In looking at some of the bad reviews here I experienced similar things. I see a few positive reviews and strangely they seem to be written by the same person. Notice how one says it is not fast food, and another makes a similar comment. I could only venture to guess who is writing the positive ones.

Also notice how one reviewer complained about the prices and it is expensive for the area. Now there is a review that is positive saying the prices are reasonable. Just go to their website and review their menu. You can see the prices.

There are so many other good places in the area to eat, this just is not one of them. If you do go, then do not complain if your experience is the same as the "honest" reviews on here.

Just returned from a wonderful dinner with my wife and friends. The best prime rib I ever had and my wife and friends loved their veal dishes. We all had desserts that were great and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I think their wine list is very reasonable and so are the menu prices. I would highly recommend this one of a kind restaurant to everyone.

Christine's Creekside Inn is a wonderful place. Before you write a nasty review, consider some things. For one, each meal is prepared individually and painstakingly. There isn't a fast food conveyer belt pushing it all through in the masses. Also, this restaurant is considered FINE DINING so if you are seriously trying to get in and out in an hour, you will be disappointed but it's really your loss and your ignorance. Christine's Creekside Inn is a fantastic restaurant with super friendly staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Don't waste your time or money at this place! Although the waitress was nice....it was the slowest service we ever experienced. We got there at 5:15, and each ordered a glass of wine at the bar since it was "happy hour". Well, much to our disappointment, wine was not included in the happy hour discounts! Very over priced, too at $7 a glass for an inexpensive wine! We ordered dinner from the bar and told the waitress we had to be at a meeting at 7:00. We sat a the table and finally left without dinner at 6:45 with no more than rolls and water. The place was not busy and there was no excuse for the delay. My husband asked the waitress if they had to go out to purchase greens for our salads? She stated that the owner/cook was working on making dinners and would not stop to fix the salad till he was good and ready! We had enough...we left....laid $14 on the bar and will NEVER return to this place except under new management. What a shame....

Let me start by saying that I have eaten at many restaurants in both Berks and Chester County and this was by far one of the worst meals I have ever had. It stared before we even entered Christine's. We had to wait in the parking lot for someone to come out and leave in order to park our car. I ordered the sirloin steak and the lady ordered a shrimp dish. My steak came out on a circular white plate with nothing but the steak slapped in the middle of it. It was over cooked and underseasoned. Her six shrimp came out floating in oil and lemon juice. You could tell they were frozen and the breading was soggy from all the oil. Our waitress was pleasant however she didnt write anything down and either forgot what we ordered or had to come back and ask us again. I would tell anyone who is thinking of going to Christine's to reconsider. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that you can get a better meal for the same money. Also no draft beer? Come on now.

My husband and I ate at christine's Creekside Inn two nights ago and were completely dissatisfied and will NEVER go back!! We should have known something wasn't right when there were only about 3 cars in the parking lot. My husband and I both ordered filet mignon. When I took a bite of mine, it was awful! It was so repulsive I couldn't eat more than 2 bites. My husband tried it and could not eat it either. We told the waitress something was wrong with this piece of meat and she spoke to the owner/chef. She came back saying it was certified Angus beef and both steaks came from the same place. That was it. Management did NOTHING to make the situation better. Luckily I had a gift certificate to cover the cost of the bad steak because I was NOT gonna pay for an inedible piece of meat. This place obviously doesn't care what quality of food they serve and don't know a thing about working with customers!! We will NEVER eat there again and have told all of our friends and family to stay away too!! There was a reason for the few number of cars in the lot--this place is TERRIBLE and should be closed!!!!

DO NOT purchase this certificate - you will be HORRIBLY disappointed. My husband and I had eaten at Christines about a year ago and it was horrid. I ordered a traditional chicken dish that has been on the menu for many years (through numerous owners) - it was terrible. We though since they had just opened, that they needed to get settled in so we gave it a try again in November. There were only two cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night. The bar was dark, all of their taps were broken (so no draft beer for my husband), and it was cold. The bartender was very nice, and we ordered a Maker's Mark and Coke and a bottle of beer. After she served the drinks, we looked at the tab - $17.00 for two drinks, one of which was just a bottle of beer. The bartender explained that dependent upon the level of the shelves (where the bottles of liquor were kept), you added a dollar to a drink for each shelf. We belong to a local, private country club as well as frequent other upscale restaurants in the area, and even the Green Hills Inn (four star French) two miles away does not charge that much for drinks. In addition, the bartender was also one of two waitresses in the main dining room (for the patrons from the two cars in the parking lot). Everything behind the bar was dusty with "stuff" strewn everywhere. The taps for beer had a dish rag thrown over the top. We knew and patronized a former owner, Peter, and the place was always warm and inviting.

The menu is VERY expensive....perhaps one or two meals under $20.00, the rest in the $25.00 - $40.00 range. When considering this, you have to contrast the cost of the menu with other upscale restaurants in the area such as The Green Hills Inn and Emilys. Both of which, while expensive, offer a menu that not only includes some lower priced entrees, but are worth the price because they are exceptional. We had a gift certificate for $25.00, which would not have even covered the cost of one meal. And while we do not hesitate to spend money in restaurants in the area, as we eat out every weekend, while we are not looking for a "deal," we certainly don't want to drop over $100.00 in this manner.

We spoke to the bartender about the price of a the bottle of American beer my husband had ordered. She was extremely nice and apologetic and seemed to sympathize with the high cost. Needless to say, we left without having dinner, drove down the road to Emilys which was absoutely packed (by this time it was 7:30 at night) - we couldn't even get in the front door).

Save your money - go to Emillys, Austins, Green Hills Inn - or any other of the numerous restaurants in the area. I don't even know how this place remains open. I guess the only thing that keeps them going are specials such as this, or their use of restaurant.com to offer deals.

I went to the restaurant for the first time with my girlfriend and had a wonderful experience. She had the veal Marsala and loved it and I had a filet and enjoyed it. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For dessert I had the best cheesecake ever, and she had a wonderful tiramisu. We cant wait to return, the location is beautiful and has a great atmosphere.

First of all, I'm a fair reviewer. I took my father to dinner here on Sunday November 14th at 6PM. I read the other reviews of this place and thought we would try it. Other reviews were really horrible. We pulled into this place and there was NO other cars. Kinda scary. Went in and ordered at 6:15. We didn't get our salads until 7PM. Our food came at 7:35. We were the only people in the place. I ordered a pasta and shrimp and scallops dinner. Very little pasta shrimp or scallops. Full of onions, peppers and "fillers". Shrimp scampy was full of shells. Chicken Parm was burned. Check was $125 for 6 of us, two were children. This place should consider closing. Upsetting because I read that the owner was the chef. Apparently the chef doesn't work there anymore. YUCK. AVOID THIS PLACE. There are much better italian restaurants in the area. Go to Sebastianios, Anthony's or even Austins. Also watch the trends on here, after a bad review, just a few days later you will see a very good review.... done by an employee or the owner of this place.

Let's just say, that I had a $25.00 gift certificate. I had a glass of water, the Roasted Duck and a microwaved potato. My meal cost me $25.00 and it was not terrible but it was not worth the $25.00 I paid. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan and the Pasta on the side. She said the Chicken Parm was awful but I had to taste it for myself. She was not exaggerating. It tasted sour and I would have to say that it was the worst Chicken Parm I had ever tasted. The sauce definitely did not help it. I could go to Wal Mart and get a generic TV dinner that would have tasted better and I am NOT kidding. Try it yourself if you don't believe me. The other dilemma was deciding if the side of pasta and sauce tasted worse or better than the Chicken Parm. Even the water tasted bad. I should have stopped my meal at the small microwaved dinner roll. What happened to the Old Mill Inn?? This was definitely not it. I could have had all you can eat sushi for $10.00. The waitress Ashley was very nice. I kinda feel bad that she has to work there. We won't be returning and neither will any of our friends.

Just got back from a lovely dinner! The Veal Marsala was delicious, the salad was fresh, the peanut butter pie was to die for and the coffee was good too! Entrees include salad and one veggie or pasta side. My husband had the special veal entree that was served over linguine. He loved it, and he is very picky about veal. He also loved the Tiramisu (sp?)he had for dessert!
We are going back for sure! Give this place a try. You won't be sorry!

My meal was horrific. If you go to their website and view the video of the chef it appears his only experience actually working with chefs at Green Hills. Sorry, that is just not enough to play resteraunt. Sadly I look at many of the positive reviews and they seem to be written in the same language. Could it be the same person, employee? You be the judge. Anyway, there are many good choices in Berks. This is not one of them. Check them out at

I recently ate at Christine's Creekside Inn for the first time on Valentines day and absolutly LOVED it. The food was amazing. I had the Touch of Italy and my husband had the prime rib. The rib was so big he could barley finish it and my meal was very tasty. Our waitress was so kind and did everything she could to make us happy. I saw the owner walking around and personaly greeting his guests and he even thanked us when we were leaving. (this does not happen at most places) I would reccomend this resaurant to anyone and i will defenitly return.

This was the worst meal and one of the worst restaurants we ever gone to. I have never written a review, but people have a right ot know how bad it it. We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for Valnetine's Day. We arrive right on time for our reservation. We were seated in the bar along with one other couple. The lady had her coat on because it was freezing everytime they opened the door. We were not told we would be in the bar nor were we offered another table. First they couldn't get our waitress to wait on us and apologized for the delay. We were not happy with the seating, but tried to make the most of it. We were trying to have nice conversation except for the waitress who kept flying through the room to replace menus. Not once or twice or even three times. Multiple that by the number of waitresses. It was very annoying. We were clearly sitting in an area that they used for traffic only. Then the manger ate his meal in the foyer (full plate) gulping it down between customers. All who went to the dining room. His plate was right next to the disgusting fish tank with water in it that was months old. There were no fish. They died. This is what I spent the evening looking at. I ordered prime rib which at best was sirloin steak and a very bad piece of meat. My baked potato was from yesterday or had been sitting around a long time. My husband ordered veal marsala. Equally bad. We also had to listen to two waitresses complaining about a customer. They didn't seem to mind that we could hear them. I felt as thoufght I was sitting at the kiddy table in the kitchen. Maybe I could have helped them. I do know the difference between pieces of beef. To top it all off we, paid $25/entree. I was definitely shortchanged. It was awful. The best part of the evening was the cheesecake that we bought at Redners on our way home. Christine needs to look for a new occupation. Never ever again. Don't waste your money.

I agree with some of the reviews about the vinegar in the onion soup, and foul tastes. This was definitely the worst meal I have ever had. My only regret was not walking out after the Salad. The food tasted old and did not appear fresh at all. Example, old mushrooms, cherry tomatoes past their useful life, wilted lettuce. The meal was actually gross. I would never go back. I regret that I have to even give 1 star to get this review to post.

I also reported the restaurant to the State

My husband and I just ate here for the first time. I got chicken marsala and my husband the chicken parm. During high school and college I worked in an italian take out restaurant oustide of Philadelphia for a good 8 years and have become a major critic of Italian food and it is really hardto impress me! I LOOOOVED my meal at the Creekside Inn and will go back again!!! The chicken marsala totally hit the spot and my husband's review of the chicken parm is equally as good! The cheesecake was delicious too! Look for their coupons in your Val-Pak!

thanks to Doug and Christine and their wonderful staff our son was married in the restaurant on March 29th at 3:00 in the afternoon. Doug was extremely easy to work with and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. Everything was just wonderful. The food was excellent and served 65 guests in a timely manner. We want to thank you for your cooperation and the memorable event you provided our family and guests. the tannenbaums

I recently ate at the creekside Inn with my family. The food was wonderful and I loved the decor. My waitress was very polite and I loved the home made desserts.

Worst meal we have ever had...The crab cakes had shells in it. The delmonico steak was inedible, had a foul odor, and did not appear to be a delmonico. My husband ate only 3 bites and ended up throwing up when we got home from dinner. Never again!

My wife and I have been there twice. The food wasn't bad, but unfortunately the restaurant's namesake (Christine herself) is quite miserable...to customers and her own staff. No wonder the service isn't that great. They have to face a tongue lashing from Christine on every trip to the kitchen or bar. Don't waste your time or your money!

My family recently went to Christine's Creekside Inn and we loved it. The staff were super sweet and waited on our every need. The food was delicious and did not take too long to arrive. I loved that they include a warm towel to freshen up before dinner. Also the atmosphere was perfect for any occasion it had a beautiful view, candles, fresh flowers, and a nice fire place. I highly recommend Christine's Creekside Inn.

My husband and I were very disappointed with this restaurant. The restaurant is very close to our home, and we were anxious to try it out. We were seated in the middle of the room, and apparently no one was assigned the job of waiting on the center tables. We waited patiently to be approached, and after at least 20 minutes, we had to flag down a waitress, who was rude to us, but still did not wait on us. Finally another waitress approached us and asked, "who's your server", we said, NO ONE. So she finally waited on us. Several other tables were seated, served, and left before we even got anything to eat. The food was fair, but certainly nothing to go back for, especially considering the wait. The restaurant was not that busy, several wait staff were just standing around--this place needs some management help.

The worst dining experience I ever had. First the hostess did not smile or welcome us to the place. We were seated and the server took our drink order, served the drinks and took our order. It took at least a half hour till we got our appetizers. My sister in laws onion soup tasted like vinegar could not eat it. Now we are waiting for the main meal. We were seated at 5:45 pm now it is 7:00 pm still no meal. A party of eight came in around 6:30 and they got there meal and were done and we still did not have our meal. At 7:30 we finely got our meal. I don't know what they did to my wife's crab cakes but they were the worst crab cakes she ever tasted she could not eat them. My freind got veal parmigian and said it was like rubber. We will never go there again
