I really don't even want to give them a 1star. They are horrible, this information is updated 2017. As I looked at their reviews I shouldn't have got a vehicle from them, Dan hired Gill Jackson to be his Black flunky so to a speak. They took my down payment then after 3 months they didn't want me to have the car due to a late one month payment, I reported them to the BBB which their grade is s D- sad to say I don't have a car, they took my money and I'm left with a loan that I have to pay for, they are total rip offs, liars and they act like they're true but they aren't. The owner with his ignorant self got Jackson doing all the dirty work behind a friendly black man's face!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MARTINO MOTORS KEEP LOOKING FOR A BETTER PLACE THAT'S HONEST, FRIENDLY AND MOST OF THE CARS HAVE BEEN IN FLOODS. THEY DON'T FIX ANYTHING BEFORE THEY GIVE YOU THE CAR. TRUST ME PEOPLE DON'T DO IT!!!! THUMBS DOWN I am a REAL CUSTOMER!!!!

First off- the owner is rude! Was screaming at his wife or soon to be exwife while I was sitting there waiting to look at a car. Was trying to talk to owner nicely and he grabbed his cell phone and told me he don't need my help( but in other words), and walked away. Salesman was a complete cluster f**k. Kept having to chase owner down to look at my deal. Told salesman that I don't appreciate being talked to like that by the owner! So I started to walk out cause I was just sitting there alone- as I was leaving-salesman was leaving bar next door with food. funny thing is- I have 3 cars and a bike , only stopped cause I seen a car that I liked.the car was crap anyway! You'd figure they would clean out a car before putting it on a lot.. Will use my money at ionadi's

I decided to visit Martino Motors because my car of three years was on it's death bed. I looked for reviews on the internet and they had 5 stars. I took my dying car there hoping to leave the lot with another car. When I got there, there was only one salesperson there, it was a woman who in my opinion was dressed inappropriately for work. She was running around trying to help a bunch of people at one time. After she took copies of my information she took me out to the lot to look at a couple vehicles. I already had one in mind that I seen in the Auto Trader, the way it looked in person was nothing like how it looked in the magazine. As a matter of fact all of there vehicles were raggedy. They all looked like very used vehicles that someone had for years. They were not clean on the outside or inside and all their vehicles have very high mileage. I got inside of 4 different vehicles and they AC did not work in any of them. I was in a desperate situation so I did decided on a vehicle. The saleswoman said she didn't know if I would be approved because my income was low. She told me to put $200 down on the vehicle so no one else would purchase it while she contacted Martino to see if I could be approved and she would call me in a hour. I headed home and on the way my car completely broke, I barely made it home. She called 3 hours later saying that I would have to come up with $700 plus my car to be financed. I told her my car broke on the way home and she still wanted the car, told me to tow it there and asked me if it was inspected. I decided I wanted to look around at other lots and didn't want to purchase the vehicle. I got a ride back to Martino and asked for my money back, she said I had to get it back from Martino himself and he wouldn't be in til 5. I told her I had work at 5, asked her could he write a check and have it for me first thing tomorrow morning. She said she can do that for me. I called at 5 to see if the check had been wrote, she said he still hasn't arrived on the property. I asked when he gets there can she make sure the check is there so I can get it first thing tomorrow morning she said she would. By the way I gave her cash and they want to give me a check. Big surprise, when I called in the morning my check wasn't there, they guy I talked to was rude, he told me Martino doesn't leave checks and he writes it out in front of customers and I told him how am I supposed to get it if he is never there. He continues to tell me how Martino owns all these businesses and is always busy, I told him that is not my problem and I knew I was going to get the run around about getting my money back. Overall very bad experience dealing with this business. They prey are people with low income, who are desperate and don't know any better. I may be desperate but I'm not dumb.

I called a few times during the past few weeks getting info on cars and down payments etc. (talked to Chris, Bill and Dan Martino). Very informative, patient- good experience coming into the dealership and buying a car that fit my needs. Would definitely refer them to friends who need the help to finance a car. You have to accept things sometimes when you don't have good credit, thanks for working with me.

First off, let me say this was the most "cluster" you know what sales experience I've ever had. I actually was not even looking to buy a vehicle when I pulled into their lot. I was coming out of a storage unit across the street and a yellow Nissan X-terra caught my eye. I had previously owned one and missed the SUV a lot. So, I thought I'd go and see what they had to say. Let me say, I don't have stellar credit but it's not the worst either, around 600 or so. These people are PREDATORY to say the least. They pray on people with bad credit, who are in desperate situations and need vehicles and are willing to pay any amount. So, I walk in and the typical "customer" is on welfare or low income. I'm not picking on anyone, I'm just telling you their "target customer'. I took the Nissan for a test drive and drove it right to my mechanic. The check engine light as on. We did diagnostics to find that there were 3 codes the vehicle was throwing. Needed front brake pads, back passenger door inside completely a different color (wrecked, we weren't sure) but they certainly weren't going to offer any history on the vehicle. So, the price $7900 for a 2002 with 117,000 miles. They say, "We'll work something out. Moe was my salesperson's name. Nice guy, but acted like he had never sold a car in his life, and promised me they would fix the issues before I purchased the car. Fast forward 2 days: Run around regarding funding, they PUSH hard the warranty which you must buy, which they probably would honor anyway. The interest rates are 17-22%. People, save your money and buy from someone else reputable. The owner by the way is condescending and rude. I told him I had the vehicle checked out by my mechanic and that it threw 3 codes. His response, "They all throw codes" sarcastically and walked away. By day two, they wanted me to put down $1250, keep the price the same as it was and NOT fix the issues prior to buying. DO NOT trust anything they say. Moe promised me the world with things like, "Sure, we will fix any problems" and we will get you financed with a better rate. All bait and switch tactics. I'm SOOO glad I didn't buy from them after seeing all of this feedback. This guy needs shut down for sure.

The service I received was excellent because the insurance company that was handling my business didn't provide all the important info needed, but Mr. Billy was very professional in helping me. Thank you.

My ex wife was in a desperate situation, and went to Martino Motors. They sold her a very overpriced Chevy Lumina, which are bad cars to begin with. She has only had the car 3 months and already she has had to put an expensive $350 sensor in it, and now the transmission is beginning to slip. As she waited in the waiting room when she was applying for the car, Mr Martino was screaming at a female car salesperson very loudly about her not selling enough cars, and screamed at her to get out, she was fired. The woman was crying saying "I cant take this crap anymore"! As she left, Mr Martino yelled into the waiting room..."Anyone want a job in there"? It is a sleazy environment, he sells overpriced bad cars to people in a desperate situation knowing they will be having many problems shortly. When she tried to get the warranty to fix her tranny, you know he will tell her its not covered or something. Stay away from these thieves.

When I heard the news we got Bin Laden I had to look to see if they found him working for Martino Motors. Truly he was let off too easy with a bullet to the head when Mr Martino could have sold him a car and chances are Bin Laden would have taken his own life. This is NOT an ideal place to rebuild credit .....Its the place credit goes to die. Went with a friend and same deal as you will read below. Enormously high price which they blame on a ridiculous warranty but inexplicably turn down the famous WINO (in name only) and the price hardly fluctuates. 2) Wait for your car to be inspected as almost all seem to be expired or close to. Experience immediate problems followed by major problems within 12 mnths and in my case sooner . I am convinced if a car lasts a yr a Martino Mechanic is forced to purchase a car from the lot as punishment.

Other gems are the repo men whom pop in and out asking for extra work and joking about how they are looking at the people in the waiting room whos car they will be hooking up in a couple months ( note: they said hooked up, as in towed not driven off) also the disrespectful nature employees are treated with openly in front of customers and the sticker happy garage who seems to miss constant problems but noticed me watching them from outside and asked me to clear out immediatly. In my opinion If you buy from there you are essentialy paying thousands to rent a car for a few months.

I dont know if there is a heaven but I am certain these people are going to hell.

I purchased a vehicle in April of 2010 from these jokesters. Over the past 11 months there has been many problems with my vehicle. Check engine light came on within weeks, the exhaust was bad on the vehicle, but the worst thing of all just happened within the past week, the car caught on fire and was totally engulfed in flames in a matter of minutes. I am wondering now if they did some rigging of something that finally gave way and caught the car on fire. I would not suggest anyone to buy a car from these people after reading this page.

I have been reading your alls reviews and they are pretty bad. I went there today and put some money down for them to have it inspected even though the inspection sticker said 2011. I am just wondering if you guys who have had problem with them have gotten warranties and if you did did you actually look over them and make sure they were ok. Also if you guys were having so much trouble with them fixing your car, how come you didn't go to another repair place. Especially if you were paying out of pocket. I went to try the car I'm interested in and it worked just fine. I even took it for at test drive and plan to take it for a test drive tomorrow and take it to get looked at some more by a different mechanic. When I asked tim Connelly about the warranty he started to look down but I still am getting the warranty. And by Law if you have a warranty that says something then your car has to be covered. Which warranty are you all getting because he showed me the 5 for 150,000. He mentioned the other ones but didn't care to show me because he said they would cost the same but tomorrow I think I will have a better look at the other warranties.

I bought a Ford Windstar on Wednesday Jan 12, 2011. Was told by Tim Connelly that I had a great deal with great payments. To say the least everything sounded good. Got home at 8:30 afters hours of sitting there for them to check the van completely. The next mornig the van is jerking and stalling; eventually it would move from gears. I called tim to inform him about the transmission (which it had blew)he told me it might be bad gas or water in the line. I told him that a no a when its the transmission. He ask me if I could drive it there. I told him it won't move so I got it towed there for them to tell me there isn't anything they can do. I gave him $650 and he said they didn't have to give me anything back I told him I didn't even have the car for 24 hours. He gave me a check for $337. I called the police and two police oficers arrive the one cop told me to sue him he said he was tired of being called for seling bad cars. I contacted the attorney general and penn hills magistrate. They are horrible people and should not have a license to sell anything

So my husband and I went to Martino Motors back in November to buy our first car, both of us have bad credit and were in need of a car to get back and forth to work. We put 900 down on a 97 lincoln town car (which we were told was a continental even when we were signing the papers) with 90,000 miles on it, and pay 51 a week automatically taken from my checking accout weekly; great deal right, WRONG!!. When we got into the car to drive off the lot the passenger side seatbelt was stuck and we could not get it unfastened, we ended up having to cut it and now have to use the middle buckle for the passenger belt. Ten days after purchasing the car it completely died on me in the dark, battery died (so we thought). We ended up having to replace the alternator only after buying a new battery an dit died the next day. After replacing the alternator and battery, the concetor to the positive battery terminal was so corraded it no longer has a good connection all the time and the car will just die. We have to get out of the car and wiggle the wire just to get it started. The check engine lite has been on sice Christmas and we now have no heat and the temperature gauge for my engine will not move (bad thermostat). Today, on my way home my brake lite came on, a car pulled out in front of me and I swerved to miss hitting him as my car would not stop and I ended up hitting a tree. When I called Martino Motors about my alternator they told me they would look at my car if I could get it to them, I live in Moon and they are in Monroevill (50 miles away). My car wouldn't make it to Robinson without dying, how was I supposed to get it to them. When I called them this morning about my accident they gave me a run around about Don being out of town for the weekend and too call back Monday afternoon and talk to him. Yet, they are still expecting me to pay for a car that is totaled, and I almost lost my life in this morning. Had the tree not been there that I hit I would have went over a cliff down into a embankment, and I was only six blocks away from my house. Glad I didn't have my kids, husband, or dog in the car with me.
I would not suggest going to this place to purchase a car, they say they are going to inspect your car before you can take it home to make sure there is nothing wrong with it. They don't want to give you a warranty. The insurance they gave me is through them as well as my payments are made directly to them and not a finance company. My insurance, which they only gave me liability and not full coverage was set up in my husband's name with him listed as a exempt driver and me as the main driver because he don't have a license, yet I didn't think you could have insurance i your name if you didn't have a license. I have spoken with a friend of mine who works for a good lawyer in the city and she informed me that there have been complaints filed with the attourney general against them, and I will be making a complaint as well. I would suggest anyone else who has had problems with this junkyard dealership do the same.

I am like alot of people on here. I have also been ripped off badly by Martino's. I have reported them to WTAE. I decided to take action and hopefully it is not in vain. I want this place inspected and shut down.

Do not buy from these crooks. They sell you a car they know is junk, then you are stuck paying for a overpriced lawn ornament!!
They say they will help you get your credit fixed, but the cars cost you so much to fix, you can't make the payment. I bought a Hyundai Sonata in May, 2010. The check engine light came on, 5 miles off of their lot... The rear window fell down the same day. We took it in for repair 3 times in two weeks. 5 weeks after owning this pile of crap, Transmission slips, car only starts when it wants to, Engine hesitates sporadically. But the car sure looked nice and clean... And they charge about $5,500 for a car that is worth $2,500
Stay as far away from these crooks as you can. You have been warned!!!

They are the worst company I ever delt with. I wish I would of read this blog first. They do not even deserve one star. They sold me a bad car in July 2010, the same day i bought the car my check engine light started to blink. I took it back to be be fixed and 2 1/2 weeks later same problem. This time they charged me to fix it. My loan was to be through a finance company and they stated they were not making enough money on the car, so they decided to finance it themselvs. I did not find this out until almost a month after I bought the car because when I called the finance company they had no record of the loan. When my car was done being repaired for the second time, they told me before I can pick my car up from being repaired they wanted the 1st car payment plus the cost to repair the car. When my husband called to give them a piece of his mind the owner Don "called him on" and stated he was going to beat my husband's @$$. This company is very unprofessional and do not know how to run a business. They have an F rating with the BBB. Anyone want to join us in a class action law suit??

UPDATE:
I got my car back yesterday 8/4/2010 and did not have it 24 hours and the check engine light is back on. WTF. I paid to have the car fixed. They would not give me a receipt for the parts they claim they got. I don't think they even fixed it. Something has to be done about them. They are ripping people off and getting away with it. They did not fix it correct I had to pay to have the EGR valve replaced. I am so mad I could spit fire!!

UPDATE 10/26/2010
So I mailed them a check 2 weeks ago for my car payment, which was never cashed. I called them yesterday and spoke with Don to ask if my payment was received. He said "I don't think so we have no reason to hold it" I then told him ok I will call the bank and if it has not cleared I will stop payment and call you back with a debit card payment today (10/25/2010) or tomorrw 10/26/2010 and he said fine. Well today (10/26/2010) he sends someone to my work to repo my car WTF!! I told the guy I just talked to them and they never cashed my check and it did not come back to me. He said Martino does this to a lot of people. So now I had to pay my car payment plus a $100 fee for him coming so they would not take my car. So the SOB Don Martino held my check said he never got it and then sent someone to repo my car. We all need to get together and file a class action law suit against them. I am so angry at myself for going there. I filed with the Attroney General and this is why he did this to me. My husband was on his way to my work because I called him. Thank God I stopped him or I would of been fired for him making a sceen. The repo guy was very nice and said to sue them that they are crooks.

UPDATE 11/1/2010
So I spoke with WTAE news and they told me they have numerous complants on them. They said to file with the Attorney General which I did. Everyone who had problems with them please file a complaint with the Attorney General, this is the only way to get the shut down and out of business!!

I live near Jeannette pa and we no have a Martino Motors on RT. 30. I happen to stop in about a week ago to look at the cars. They pretty much look like crap except 2 SUV's. I was interested in purchasing the one but was guided towards the other. Unfortunately the other wouldn't start. Long story short, the gentleman selling the vehicle filled me in on what they do before you get the car and why none of them are inspected and where your down payment goes before you get your vehicle. So now that I've read the blogs I would honestly say DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM MARTINO MOTORS!!!!!

Let's start by saying this: If I could give this place less than one star I would. My wife and I purchased a Kia Sportage from Martino's about six months ago, since then we have regreted every last second. Two weeks after we pulled it off the lot, a tow truck was pulling it back in. It has now been in for "repairs" FIVE TIMES. That's five times we had to pay our $100 deductible, five times we were without a vehicle, and five times the problem was not fixed. When we told Donnie we wanted to trade up to get away from the piece of crap he was more than happy to accomadate. The only problem is when we get there he tries to overcharge us (again) for the new car by $1,400 over KBB. When we show him that we weren't dumb enough to do so, he stopped making eye contact. When we returned the next buisness day he ignored us, walked through the lobby we were sitting in, got in his truck and left. Some customer service. Also the comment further down the page about "the fine luxury vehicle" was written by his salesman Nick. Maybe next time he should try a little harder to hide the rough draft before posting it. Here's a hint Nick, on your desk isn't a good place!!!!

I bought a car there in july 09. I have a leakin my radiator and have to constantly put fluid in there. They are terrible. The warranty company wrote me a letter explaining that my car had no warranty because they were not giving the warranty company the money I was paying. My mother called the STATE TROOPERS, and they handled it. Those are the ones to go to in a situation such as this one. My problem was solved by taking my payments from 18 months to 16 months and I was satisfied with that. Sadly I would not recommend them to anyone.

I don't really know where to begin other than....DON'T DO IT!! DON'T BUY A THING FROM MARTINO MOTORS!!! I had an emergency with my cuurent car and it could not be fixed. I saw their ad in a PennySaver and went to Martino Motors thinking I could find some basic transportation with little money down. Long story short....they have no people skills, don't value their customers, and are idiots. They did my paperwork wrong when they sent it to the sate for the title prep! So, of course Pennsylvania sent it back to me and wouldn't send my registration and stickers. I ended up going to the dealership (if you can call it that) three times having them to correct the documents and mail it back in to the state. Finally, my temp registration expired while waiting for the state to send the stickers. Naturally, I got stopped by the cops trying to give me a ticket for driving the car with an expired temp reg. sticker in the window. I go back and tell Dude at the car lot this and he gets loud with me like he intimidating somebody! He was trying to blame the state when all this was his fault to begin with. They had no compassion for all of the inconvenience they had put us through. No apologies or anything. So, I got loud back all up in his face and he lowered it down. Guess he realized he wasn't dealing with no kid that he could pull that with. I'll never buy anything else from them...was thinking of buying an SUV for my wife, too. So much for that. Please, listen to me and the other people on this site -don't purchase anything from Martino Motors!!!!! (They really should be closed for business.)

Martion Motors is the biggest scam out there. I am out two vehicles. AND no I didnt buy too i traded on it. Their warranty is a scam too. Dont buy a vehicle from this heep of junk place. I should have know better when we went there and half the cars were wrecked and flat tires. I have learned my lesson. Yes they can get you in a car for someone that has credit problems. But you will pay the price. And the finance company Westlake is just as shady as Don Martino. I know of MANY MANY other people that have and the same problem with them. DONT GO THERE. SPREAD THE WORD THEY SUCK!!! I work to hard to be taken for anymore money from crappy people.
For those who say that they have had a great experience with Martino Motors arent clients they are employees. Who considers a 1993 Ford Tauras a luxury automobile. Don must think we are stupid.

I recently purchased an fine luxury automobile from Martino Motors. It was a 1993 Ford Tauras. It has been the best car i've ever owned. I've bought dozens of vehicles over the years and I can honestly say that Donald Martino is the most honest salesman i've ever come across. Don't listen to these low-rent BUMS making complaints on here. Martino Motors cares about the consumer. Whenever I need to buy another fine automobile Martino Motors will be the first and only place I go to.

I really wish I would have looked at this blog before going to Martino Motors. I am going to do everything I can to express my freedom of speech - Martino Motors is absolutely awful! DO NOT BUY A CAR from this place! The vehicle purchased not even 2 days later stopped running power steering fluid everywhere! They said they would fix it, two weeks later guess what its not fixed I am not sure what bozo mechanic they have employed there but he cant even fix the dang thing are you kidding me! It was supposedly just inspected there should be an investigation on this company immediately they are probably just slapping stickers on cars! They are AWFUL! DO NOT BUY A CAR from there! MARTINO MOTORS SUCKS. We are so powerless now, we are out of a vehicle and out $$ because of a crocked company.

If you want a good working 'used car' stay away from Martino Motors. Their lot is like a junk yard, most of the vehicles are garbage. Non-working, beat up, etc.
Let's put it this way. I'm in debt $7,000 because of what they sold me. In three months having the vehicle it stopped working about 4 times and needed fixed. All four being problems that could of been avoided if they took the time to actually inspect the vehicle rather than slapping a sticker on. They got their money so they are happy. I was told I could trade my car back and take something else because of all my problems with it. Never happened. Donald Martino is a b.s.'er.
They offer warranties. Read the print. Out of all the problems I've had with the car 'costing $1,000's' not one thing was covered in the warranty. So all tows, repairs, parts, etc is all out of your pocket.
They try their best to manipulate women and young adults that do not know much about cars. Be careful!

I was paying monthly for a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. The car I was interested in "wouldn't start" and they couldn't figure out why. I was pretty stupid, had low credit and figured Martino Motors was a great place to get my car. Boy was I wrong! The car was "inspected" the day before leaving the lot. Come to find out, 3 lights were out, the brakes were bad, the window was broken (the automatic roll up & down). Yes maybe not all inspection worthy but if you are buying a car FROM A DEALERSHIP, you expect that things will be fixed. 2 days after getting the car it broke down. $200 fix. not even a week later thermostat housing unit, or something like that blew, antifreeze flew everywhere & the car no longer ran. Towed it to Martino - $150, Martinos low (what a joke) fix price ($200). Brakes weren't lubed and were stuck down from day 1. another $100 for that work and they obviously sold me a dangerous car. Not even a month later - car stopped working again. I said eff it come repo it. They inspect cars w/o even looking at them. A guy came in while i was there & talked to the people in the garage & agreed $70 to slap a sticker on w/o looking at it at all. Now my credits even shittier. Don agreed to swap the car out with the loan company but made no effort & was really ignorant on the at least 50 times Ive called him. Rot in hell Don Martino. You are a scamming piece of shi* that sells junkyard cars. Yes junkyard. 1 cars gas tank was hanging to the ground, others wouldn't start. etc. Karma is a bi*tch

My daughter had 3 repos on her credit report but that did not stop her from needing a ride back and forth to work. This is an excellent place to go if you need "alternative financing". They DEFINITELY know the companies that will help you with getting financed for a car and you have VERY BAD credit. Most of the cars on their lot have a lot of miles on them... such as the one my daughter got... it had over 100,000 miles but at least they sell you a warranty that will cover the car for the length of time that you have it financed. The cars on the lot look pretty good also, considering all the miles on them. My daughter has had the car from them now for several months and to spite the high mileage it is running just fine.
