Me and my husband got married at Yerkes August 2010 and it was wonderful..Its was short and sweet..The camera guy got on my nerves a little but he was just doing his job because they over booked a couple of people..But it was a beautiful experience..The back yard is beautiful for photos...I loved it we are going to renew our marriage so all our friends and family can attend...My cousin and he fiance is getting married here next week...Keep up the good work...

Did you hear about the new Wedding Chapel down town. It's at 13th & Vine. It's really nice. You can even have a reception there. They also have horse and carriage rides to take pictures in Love Park. It's new clean and plenty of parking. The people are very nice and they will work with you. It's called With This Ring Wedding Chapel.

I got married at Yerkes May 15, 2010. The girl at the front desk was very rude and impatient. She is in the wrong line of business. First of all they don't give you correct info when you book the place online and when we went there she was rude to my now husband. I have it on the wedding video. Other than that the decor was fine and the officiating minister was very good. Because of her my wedding wasn't as perfect as it could have been but I didnt let her spoil my day. Would have recommend it because of that girl

What is everyone complaining about? I got married here some years ago. My husband and I were satisfied. .It was just what we needed a quick ceremony and a place where we can take a few pictures which was in Yerkes back yard. Now, my sister is making plans to have her ceremony here in Aug. She attended ours and liked the place. If you want a fabulous wedding go.find a church or hall. Yerkes is simple, quiet and intimate.
Thanks Yerkes

Yerkes Wedding Salon is Just Fine! We were married there in 2005. My husband wanted to go to the distrist judge office in Pottstown, since our finances couldn't support a big wedding, I suggested the wedding salon. We wanted a private ceremony with our children. Yes some of the reviews may be valid issues but the Wedding is a Day, the Marriage is a Lifetime! Mostly Being with the One You Love no matter what the conditions! We were satisfied with our ceremony, photo and we recommand some friends, they were Okay with their decision also! I only wish I could of have a wedding cake -:) Be Blessed !

Yerkes is a disgusting dump. The man that does the ceremony does not even have the couple stand and face each other. The chairs are metal folding chairs. They rush you out into this crappy back yard, and make you exit through an alleyway! It was a horrible experience. It reminds you of those cheap, cheezy Wedding Chapels in Vegas. All that was missing was the fake Elvis! Don't do it to yourself!

I'm surprised that anyone would choose this place for their ceremony. My fiance and I also want a very simple, intimate wedding, but we also have brains, so we used them and went to this place to see it first, BEFOREHAND. There's no way I would book a place without seeing it, we all should know better, and I'm sorry for all these people leaving reviews when it's obvious they didn't check the place beforehand, and thus commited the horrific mistake of getting married here. The place is a dump, the zone is dreadful... My fiance and I were terrified and he is not even picky AT ALL.
Visiting that place ruined my day and I didn't even go to get married, only having it as an option made me feel dirty, cheap, desperate and very sad. Please don't marry here!
There's a funerary home close to this salon. Seeing its nicer facade and garden, my fiance and I joked we would have better luck and a nicer place dying than marrying in that zone. Now that was the cheery moment of the day, imagine that!

I attended a wedding at Yerkes on 2.14.09 and was embarrassed for every couple that decided to unite in such conditions. The "salon" is a decrepit home, that in actual size, is 20 times smaller than the photographs that the owners have posted on their website. As the place functions--seemingly conducting (2) weddings at a time--50-70 guests of the unfortunate couples who are waiting for their number to be called are packed like sardines in the waiting area--which is actually the living room of a 700 square foot row home. Imagine if a fire broke out? The heat and smell of the body chemistries made one feel like a virus was brewing in the air. I understand that it's winter, and that fresh flowers would not survive in the "garden." However, the "garden" looked like a WAR zone--dead twigs were strewn about. It looked as though the last time that a fresh flower was planted there was in 1985. Yerkes wedding salon is atrocious. I wouldn't want to witness a rabid dog giving birth there let alone witness two individuals unite as one at that place EVER again. It is truly GHETTO in every sense of the word.

I was married here in 1998. It was trashy, you walked in the front, picked from trashy photographers, wax flowers, etc. you walked in, said the vows, and walked out the back door, where they locked the door behind you. They didn't even give you enough time to take photos.

Do not use Yerkes!Staff is very rude! Atmosphere cold and impersonal I do not recommend! The bride was in tears and the guests were pushed out the door by the staff, it's one thing to be in an assembly line but to be treated so poorly was a disgrace. plus the place is a dump

I was married at Yerkes on November 17, 2007. This is the worst place ever. My husband and I wanted a small, intimate and private wedding without having to incur the enormous costs so Yerkes seemed like the way to go. First, as we pulled up, there were "thugs" hanging out on the front porch of this place. These were guests of one of the weddingparties. PRESENTATION means everything and immediately we questioned what in the hell we did to choose such a place??? Once we walked in, we immediately noticed that the place is in need of a major overhaul and upgrade! Everything in this place is cheap. From the sofas, to the plastic flowers that cost you a grip. Yerkes has a ton of people getting married there for a fee of $95.00. There is simply no reason why they can not use some of this money to invest in upgrading the carpet, seating area, desk furntiure and offer finer quality things for a couple wanting to marry. You literally pay all of your fees in front of other people waiting in a line. They made it very impersonal and it felt as if it was all about a cash business. Paying the fees should have been in a private room. In the ceremony area, there are aluminum chairs from the 1980's. At least place cushions or seating pads on the chairs. This place was an embarrassment and we are so happy that we did not invite family and friends to witness this. Once the ceremony is over, they make you leave out of the back door and exit through an alley way. Talk about a drive by. I'm in an elegant dress and my husband in a tux and we are walking down an alley way. I was totally humiliated. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you simply have no class. I only wish I had known earlier and there were more reviews to read before we settled for this place. If you are looking for elegance, class and a notch above the rest, DO NOT choose this place. You will be disappointed. Save your money and go some place else but check out the location first. Yerkes is making a fortune and sadly, the lasting memory of this place is not a good one. ugh!

I went to this place to get married and when I stepoped foot in there on my wedding day, I was sure my day was ruiend. There had to be more than a hundred people in there,. On the phone I was told to arrive with the groom and cash. I couldn't even find where I was supposed to check in at. I would call them the McDonalds of weddings. I waited and wiated past my appointment time to be called., Parking was horrible. I had to use a meter. The best thing about this place is that is was cheap, but as a woman, I feel like the herding of people took away from the day. I wanted to be the most beautiful woman, but I had to compete with five other brides. The court house would have been better! Use someone else if you can.....
