I always take my children for an afternoon at the children's museum. Whoever came up with this idea was a genius. The kids always LOVE this place and they get plenty of "hands-on" learning there. You know how kids like to "touch" things and there is plenty there to entertain them. Also a great place for adults... a great family oriented outing. It does not cost too much to get in and you have so much fun while you are there. I would definitely recommend an afternoon at this place. You and your children will definitely enjoy this.

The childrens museum is a great place for kids. Here kids can look at and play with the exhibits. From and art studio to a "play" car garage there is something for everyone. A great rainy day trip.

The newly expanded Children's Museum is a giant indoor playground/educational experience like no other. Since their renovation, they've added more for older kids, making it fun for the whole family. They also have lots of space for private birthday parties, numerous arts and crafts, and of course, Mr. Rogers neighborhood of make-believe. A wonderful family place!

This is one of those great places to take the kids on those cold rainy days in Pittsburgh. The exhbits are all inside and the kids will have a BALL! There is a lot of hands on learning types of activities and also a lot of Mr. Rogers neighborhood toys and interactive exibits. If you have never been to this Northside attraction take a few hours and stop by...you won't regret it.

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is top rate. It is newly remodeled and about four times as big as it used to be. It is a great place to take the kids on a rainy day. There are so many activities and the kids really love it! I highly recommend visiting the Children's Museum!

This is an awesome place to bring your family, no matter what age your children are. Our son is not quite 2 years old, and we brought him here for the first time a couple months ago. He had a BLAST! He was litterally giggling his way through the place and just couldnt get enough! There is so much to do, no matter what age your child is!
Definitly worth the few bucks to get in!!

PROS: Awesome, something for everyone, clean
CONS:

Great location, plenty of parking. Mister Roger's Neighborhood with the actual puppets on display was a blast. There is interactive stuff for kids and adults. The vertical maze was a hit. Great art area and everything has and educational aspect.

This has by far been our favorite place to take the kids. They loved it and we loved it. Conveniently located in Pittsburgh, the museum offers activities for children of any age. From huge climbing structures, to art areas, to a working replica of Mister Rogers trolley, the kids will have a blast moving from exhibit to exhibit at the museum. And, youll walk away with plenty of keepsakes as the kids can make crafts and art projects that you can take home that day. Our kids favorite exhibit was the sand room.

We are members of the Children's Museum and we love this place! The family membership is a great value and we definately have gotten our money's worth out of it!

Mr Roger's Neighborhood is very well done and is a favorite area for my children. They also love the theatre and the art area. The traveling exhibits are awesome and keep the children's interest. The garage is also a big favorite. The new renovations really make it a first class attraction in Pittsburgh!

The Childrens Museum is one of my favorite childhood memories. The museum is unlike others in the area--the majority of the exhibits are hands on! It's best for young children, probably under the age of 6 or 7.
